“I need to think about it.” – Sophie’s Story

Sophie, a successful consultant, told me, “I just need to think this through.” But as we gently explored, it became clear she didn’t lack information. She lacked trust in herself to make the right decision.

Like many high-functioning women, Sophie was a pro at overthinking. Fear of getting it wrong, fear of disappointment, and fear that she might be beyond help all kept her circling in indecision.

Once she acknowledged those fears and let herself be supported, everything changed. Her clarity returned, her decision-making sharpened, and she began to believe in herself again.

She said, “The thinking was just a disguise for fear. What I needed was courage, and you helped me find it.”

How to reconnect with your partner when you’re feeling rejected and alone

Charlotte’s marriage was in trouble. She felt broken and cut off emotionally from her husband (names changed).

Her focus at work had deteriorated. She was making silly mistakes. She wasn’t sleeping properly and she was snappy and distant with her colleagues.

Buried inside, she was anxious and conflicted with not feeling enough. She longed to rekindle the spark she and her husband had once had. Where did it go? How? When?

But Charlotte’s need to be right and to be in control of everything had created distance with her husband, and they weren’t talking honestly or openly. Life was chaotic and disorganised.

She had begun to question if it was too late to save her marriage. She was in despair and didn’t know how to fix things.

She wanted change.
She wanted to feel happy again.
She didn’t want her life to implode.

So she made a decision – to be brave. To understand herself better and to re-set her marriage.

Fast forward six months... Charlotte’s relationship is transformed.
Charlotte & her husband have re-gained their closeness both emotionally and physically.

They’ve successfully re-kindled the spark!

Their improved communication allowed them to deeply and safely reconnect with each other. Charlotte’s perspective shifted, and she now has more compassion and understanding.

Charlotte feels more happy and secure and much calmer in her day to day. She likes and accepts herself just as she is - and is no longer ruled by those anxiety triggers.

Feeling more empowered and self-assured within herself, she has become the woman she had always wanted to be. She asks for support when she needs it and life is much more organised as ‘a team’.

And her husband says their relationship is more authentic and connected than ever!

Her decision to be brave and reach out for professional support changed her life.
