The Ringwood branch of Complete Active (the OG gym) is closing down.

Lot's of great training sessions had in this gym. Personal Records set. Inspiring members met and amazing clients of mine trained. Lot's of good memories had here.

I could go on.

But for now I'll just say thank you to both Marks for having the vision and courage to start this business up and creating this brilliant community. It's been fun.

What's next for me is to find a new gym to work out from and start the next chapter.

The JACKED & STRONG training programme.

This is a training system that will pack on slabs of lean muscle whilst building tremendous amounts of strength at the same time.

So whether you're looking to be the largest guy at the next summer bbq, feel your shirt fit tighter across the chest and arms OR you just want more right swipes on your tinder profile. This is the plan for you.

Dm me to have me email 📧 it over.

Training makes you weak, recovery makes you strong.

Understand this if you want to continue getting stronger and building muscle.

An analogy I like is: Imagine you cut your hand. Over time the skin will scab over and heal and you'll be left with tougher skin. But if you keep cutting your hand before it heals you'll be left with nothing but a bloody hand.

The same is true with tearing muscle fibres in training. You need to allow adequate time for the muscle fibers to increase in size before training again.

Experiment with more/less recovery between sessions and track how your training progress changes.

Hanging out, doin some deads. Notice how my shoulders are slightly infront of the barbell. This is deliberate. When performing Deadlifts you want to keep your shoulders just infront of the bar until it is past your knees. This is to allow you to effectively use leg drive throughout the whole lift.

If you pull your shoulders back behind the bar too early in an attempt to use your bodyweight to lever the weight up, you won't be able to use your legs effectively to lock out as your balance is too far back and you will end up hitching the bar up your legs.

So you then spend weeks doing rack pulls to strengthen your lockout thinking it's weak hips that cause you to fail your lift, when really it's just bad body positioning.

Rack pulls are good, they have their place. But they won't fix this mistake.
This is a technique I learnt from startingstrength.
If this is you, give it a try and see if it helps.

How about you turn off the negative TV/Media Monster and their BS narrative they are trying to shove down your throat, take your angry ass to the gym and give the weights hell! I promise you will feel much better afterwards. This is how I choose to release my frustrations, I channel it into something positive instead of taking it out on the people who are around me. It makes for a much happier life I promise!!

The Correct Answer Is:
A

Yes sadly it's just 15 Minutes.

So in the study they had Males and Females run 1 mile at 6mph (took them 10 mins) and they had them walk 1 mile at 3.2mph (took them 19 mins)

Metabolic rate was elevated above baseline for 15 minutes after the run and 10 minutes after the walk.

Calories burnt for the run was 115 and during the walk it was 90.

So what to take from this study? Exercise will not launch your metabolism into the stratosphere for hours after exercise. If you want to burn more calories in a day change your lifestyle and try to keep active throughout the day rather than doing one workout and sitting down for the rest of the day.

For example, I like to break my walks up into 3, 10 minute walks a day. Rather than one 10 minute a day.

DECK OF PAIN 🃏

♣️ Press ups
♠️ Burpees
❤ Squats
💎 Sit Ups

By now you may have seen this in some form or another. But to perform the Deck Of Pain take a standard 52 deck of cards and shuffle it. Take the top card off the deck perform reps equal to the number on the card and the exercise of the suite.

Jack=11 Queen =12 King =13 Ace= 14

For example, if you drew a King of hearts you would do 13 Squats. Draw the cards and perform the corresponding exercise and reps until you have completed the whole deck. @ Sandleheath, Dorset, United Kingdom
