It’s tiring work being this cute 😍

5 months ago, little Elsa was recommended surgery to either replace or remove her left hip as a result of joint degeneration following a historic pelvic fracture.

With her owners preferring to try the conservative approach first, she had a steroid injection into the joint and a course of physical therapy and laser to target hindlimb strength, core stability and address her compensatory posture.

From being terrified of a pole anywhere near her, to performing some pretty advanced exercises with so much confidence, Elsa and her lovely mum have been ⭐️⭐️ students and it’s so satisfying to see how far this little pup has come with dedicated rehab implementation ❤️

Hey guys, long time no post… November to be precise 🫠 Spring feels like it’s very much here this week (at times!) Hope you’re enjoying the sun this weekend.

Please do be aware that I am fully booked for the next 4 weeks with a growing cancellation list... It takes an army... also a reminder that progress during rehab is not often linear and we do get met with frustrating setbacks from time to time! But the comfort and welfare of each patient is our priority…

Jules update.. rehab was going great.. until it wasn’t.. and a bit of back pain started hampering progress. Today, 4+ months on, he underwent a second standing surgery which should hopefully make all the difference and have this gorgeous boy back on track in a few weeks.

Grateful for a super inspirational 3 days attending a whole horse dissection workshop with Sharon May Davis. It was a fantastic opportunity to observe the intricate anatomical connections that can’t be understood simply from a text book.

Great to share ideas with paraprofessionals and gain so much knowledge from Sharon… so lucky I get to call this work! Much to consider going forward and more awareness that we are always learning!

I was really pleasantly surprised when I turned up to treat this retired showjumping mare this week, from her weight, to her posture, to her way of going!

There’s certainly a few things that require attention, and her owners are super keen to get started with her personalised exercise program to target core stability, hindlimb mobility and balance.

Finishing the day treating horses in the dark was a little cruel on the toes 🥶🥶 but I’m super happy to be back and ready to continue helping your 4-legged friends this year 🙂
