MHA Maple Leaf House At Maple Leaf House, we provide nursing dementia care for 48 residents, in homely, en suite accommodation.

Our calm and welcoming space is designed for people living with dementia.

Our lovely Joseph is Profile of the month for March.

Joseph is our homes Chaplain and has worked at Maple Leaf House for 12 months.

Joseph says that Maple Leaf House is a welcoming home where diversity is embraced and celebrated. Joseph enjoys interacting with residents, relatives and staff (Including management).

Joseph became a Chaplain, having served as a minister of religion in the U.K. for more than Twenty years, he felt called into Chaplaincy as a pre- retirement vocation and part of his service to other people and service to God.

Joseph is inspired by the commitment of Maple Leaf House in delivering person centred care which meets the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of all our residents. It's nice to feel appreciated for being part of a great team making a big difference in people's lives.

I offer pastoral support to all residents, relatives and staff - being present to listen and support. I regularly conduct worship services and 1:1 spiritual support for those residents with a personal faith.

I also speak to families in times of losing their loved ones and attend funeral services as the home representative often in the company of other members of staff.

I am a shared resource with another MHA home. As such I am on site two or three days per week.
