As summer is finally upon us with hot and humid days, it is important to remember to keep your hearing aids safe from heat, humidity, and water. These can damage the microphone, receiver, and circuit of the hearing aids and impact performance.
1. Protect hearing aids from water
2. Don’t store hearing aids in hot or humid environments
3. Use a drying kit/dehumidifier at night where necessary
4. Apply sunscreen before putting your hearing aids in
5. Monitor hearing aid performance
6. Clean hearing aids regularly

Appointments are filling up fast for July for ear wax removal (Wednesday mornings) and hearing assessments. Our hearing assessments are currently free during July so if you have any hearing concerns do book in quickly!

A reminder to all of our patients that you are entailed to a free annual hearing re-test, even if your hearing aids are now out of warranty. It is essential to monitor your hearing levels and hearing health.
