Seasons Greetings!

As we reflect on a year of growth, connection, and support, we are delighted to share the winner of our 2024 Christmas competition. This year, the honour of featuring as our Christmas message goes to Lewis Hingerton, age 15.

Lewis used his eyegaze technology and 3D Paint to create an image that captures his vision of what Christmas means to him: a scene filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness. His creativity and skill remind us of the incredible ways assistive technology can empower individuals to express themselves and share their perspectives with the world.

At access: technology, we embrace the diversity of the people we support, recognising and respecting the many different ways this season is celebrated. Whatever this time of year means to you, we hope it brings peace, comfort, and joy.

We're inviting people of ALL ages who use assistive technology to showcase their creativity in our Christmas Greeting Competition! This year’s theme is "My Christmas"—and we’re excited to see what it means to them!

Whether it’s:
✨ Writing a poem or short story
✨ Creating a video
✨ Drawing or painting (digitally or on paper)
✨ Recording their voice, singing a song, or making music...

🧠It's Mental Health Awareness Week this week; a topic that we're very passionate about!

To be the best we can be at supporting our clients, their families and each other, we undertook company wide Mental Health First Aid training earlier this year, with our Director Kelly and Pastoral AT Consultant Josie also undertaking an FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health.

There's so many little things we try do to promote positive mental health whilst at work, from flexible working, to "Me Days", social events, community engagement, ongoing support and regular opportunity to talk. Our favourite though is our 'Bring Your Dog to Work' policy... ❤️‍🩹
