🎩✨ Top Hat Thursday at group today!

Our lovely client arrived in style and definitely brought the laughs with her! 😄 We love seeing everyone enjoying themselves, making friends and having a giggle together.

Just a little reminder that we also offer pick-up and drop-off services to groups alongside social support visits, helping our clients stay independent, social and connected 💜🚗

Safe to say the hats were a big hit today! 🎩💕

💜Today was all about tomato growing 🍅🌱

We spent time learning how to care for tomato plants, including watering, pruning and making sure they get plenty of sunlight. Our client was proud to show off the fantastic progress of his plants they’re growing brilliantly! 👏

A lovely companionship visit for Hannah and one of our wonderful clients at Boroughbridge Allotment Society 🌿☀️

The important job of the day? Inspecting Hannah’s allotment and checking how everything is growing 👨‍🌾😂

There was plenty of fresh air, chatting, exploring and of course a well-earned cake along the way 🧁

We think he may now officially be Elderflower’s poster boy too 📸💜

Companionship visits are all about enjoying the little things, getting out into the community and sharing special moments together.

Today, Elderflowers’ very own Katie M is swapping her purple tunic for running gear as she takes on the Leeds Marathon! 💜🏃‍♀️

Katie is running with Team Flatt to raise money for Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charity and MND, causes that are incredibly close to her heart through the in-depth support and care she provides weekly to one of her clients living with MND.

We are so proud of your dedication, compassion and determination both in and out of uniform, Kate. Your clients are lucky to have you cheering them on every week now it’s our turn to cheer you on!

💜Some visits are about so much more than care 💜

We’ve had the absolute pleasure of supporting lovely Chase while her Mum enjoys a very well deserved break away. From cuddles on the sofa, doing activities, giggles, cartoons and plenty of smiles, it’s been such a special week getting to know her 🥰

At Elderflower Care Services, we know respite care is not just about supporting the person receiving care it’s about giving families peace of mind, time to recharge and knowing their loved one is safe, happy and genuinely cared for.

A huge thank you to JPC Care and Support for all their support, guidance and insight into Chase before her package began. As you said yourselves, she really is the most lovable young lady 💕

We are huge believers in working together with other professionals to ensure the very best support for the people we care for. Good communication, sharing knowledge and understanding what works well day-to-day makes such a difference, and collaborative working like this is exactly what great care should look like 💜

From the lovely mini bus drivers to the morning and evening handovers with the JPC team, you can really see what a fantastic team they are and how much they genuinely care about the young people they support 🥰

Today we’re shining a very well-deserved spotlight on our amazing Noreen 💜

Noreen is one of those truly special members of the team who works quietly in the background, never looking for praise but constantly going above and beyond in everything she does.

Her calm, gentle nature and genuine compassion make such a difference to the people she supports every single day.

In particular, the relationship she has built with one of our clients living with complex, almost non-verbal dementia is nothing short of incredible. Where communication can be challenging, Noreen has shown such patience, understanding, and consistency finding her own unique ways to connect, reassure, and bring comfort.
The trust and bond between them speaks volumes, and it’s a beautiful reminder of how powerful truly person-centred care can be.

It’s not just about the tasks with Noreen it’s about dignity, respect, and making every client feel safe, valued, and understood. She takes the time, she notices the little things, and she genuinely cares.

We are so proud to have you as part of our team, Noreen. Thank you for the quiet, compassionate, and life-changing work you do every day you make a bigger impact than you probably realise 💫

This could be for a trip out to the shops, help getting to appointments, or just some relaxed, friendly company at home whatever is needed most.
