All GP practices in Caerphilly have a half day practice closure for staff training. The practice will close at 1pm-6.30pm.

Should you require urgent medical assistance during these times, a call handler will take your details and forward onto the Urgent Primary Care Centre.

Due to the rising flu cases, our receptionists will be asking patients to wear a face mask before entering the waiting area.

Due to rising flu cases, all staff and visitors must wear masks in wards and clinical settings, effective immediately. Masks will be provided at entrances.

The use of masks and correct hand hygiene will help us to protect vulnerable patients and reduce transmission risks.

**Information for all carers in Caerphilly Borough**

Did you know that Adferiad provide financial support and counselling for unpaid carers in Caerphilly?

The scheme offers a wide range of grants to help with caring responsibilities which can be applied for by the carers themselves.

Grants include: white goods items, breaks away and courses. Adferiad also offer virtual one-to-one counselling sessions with a fully accredited counsellor.

It’s not too late to get your 2-3 year old protected against flu. If your child is 2 or 3 years old (as of 31 August 2024) they’re eligible for a free nasal spray flu vaccine!

You should receive an invitation from your GP surgery. In some areas, three-year-olds may be offered the vaccine in nursery. The nasal spray is quick, easy, and pain-free, helping protect your little one from serious illness this flu season.

Important Update on Flu and COVID Vaccinations 📢

The roll out of the Flu and Covid vaccines in adults will start from 1st October 2024.

We are starting to invite eligible groups for their flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. Please keep an eye out for your invitation which will include your appointment details.

To avoid overwhelming the telephone lines please only contact us if you need to rearrange your Flu/Covid appointment.
