For years, I thought I was doing everything right!!

Eat less.
Train more.
Be disciplined.

But behind the scenes?
I was struggling with an eating disorder, obsessive exercising and a completely unhealthy relationship with food.

I wasn’t thriving… I was just coping.

And here’s what I see now, especially with women reaching their 40s…
So many are still stuck in that same cycle.

Undereating.
Overtraining.
Or worse,,,given up.
Frustrated that the body fat won’t shift like it used to.

The truth?
Your body doesn’t need more restriction… it needs a smarter approach.

That’s exactly why I’m now training to become a qualified personal trainer.

Not to push extremes.
But to help women like you:
• lose body fat without cutting everything out
• build strength and confidence
• understand what your body actually needs in this stage of life

Because sustainable results come from working with your body… not fighting it.

🚫 “Don’t do HIIT, it spikes cortisol”
🚫 “Avoid phytoestrogens”
🚫 “You need to reset your metabolism”
🚫 “You can’t tolerate carbs anymore”

Let’s clear this up…

✅ Movement like HIIT can support your health (when programmed properly)
✅ Phytoestrogen-rich foods can actually be beneficial
✅ Your metabolism isn’t “broken”
✅ Your body hasn’t suddenly forgotten how to process carbs

The problem isn’t your body… it’s the misinformation.

Perimenopause doesn’t mean everything stops working. It just means your strategy needs to evolve.

And when your plan actually fits your life?
That’s when things finally start to click ✨

I’ve been keeping a secret. Hiding something. Literally hiding.

This is me. No filters. No edits.
It’s the part most people hide.

I have spent my whole adult life studying health, fitness and nutrition and helping others to get into shape.

But it’s been a struggle for me recently. Nobody prepares you for the hours you have to put in as a full time working parent, particularly when you work shifts.

Then to compound matters, I’ve been struggling with a niggling hip injury for over a year now, preventing me to train at my max. And to take full responsibility, I’ve been very casual with my eating.

Slowly my muscles depleted and the weight crept on.
-I’ve lost strength
-I’ve lost fitness
-I’ve lost confidence in who I am and how far my body can take me.

So this is the beginning of my reset!
I’ve created a 12-week plan for myself
– simple training
– realistic nutrition
– and actually sticking to it

No extremes. No all-or-nothing mindset.
Just consistency, even on the hard days.

I’m documenting everything as I go.
The wins, the setbacks, the real progress.

If you’re in a season where you don’t quite feel like yourself either…

Please all a Prayer for these poor girls and their Families. This horrific attack resonates with me not only as a Mother but as a Dancer and former Dance Teacher. Nobody should come to a dance class and be in fear of danger. And no parent should drop their children off at a class or activity/hobby and then never see them again. My thoughts go out to Everyone affected by yesterdays attack in Southport.

FINALLY cleared out the garage for space for a home gym. It’s a work in progress and I’ll need to invest in some more kit but I bloody love it!!!

Long term we are planning on extending our house to create a new gym but for now this will more than do 🏋🏼‍♀️💪🏼😍
