Today I spoke to the children about what the word 'compliment' means to them.

They replied with statements such as, "they're nice words people say to you, which make you feel good".

We then explored what would happen, if the people giving the compliments felt grumpy or tired. The children shared that the compliments would probably stop.

We discussed that when you look for someone else to say nice things to you, and that person is grumpy or tired then you won't get what you are looking for.

HOWEVER, when you learn to say nice things to YOURSELF - COMPLIMENT YOURSELF - you can make yourself feel good, whenever you want 😊

Ben wrote a list of compliments he wanted to say to himself, and as he read them back to me he literally beamed from ear to ear 😁

He made himself happy! That's how powerful we ALL are!!!
