REFLEXOLOGY IS MAKING HISTORY!
Breakthrough in Reflexology Research.

Recent brain scan research by Dr. Stefan Posse and Kevin Kunz shows unique brain activity patterns lighting up after reflexology.
This is a proof that this gentle therapy truly supports brain function and whole-body balance. You feel it and I have seen many amazing benefits with clients, now the science is showing it.

Brain scans acquired during recent research provide evidence of validity and proof of concept for reflexology. As foot reflexology was applied to study

Reflexology activates the brain for physical, mental and emotional health
Every reflexology session on the feet, face and/or ears sends messages through your nervous system to your brain.
The latest research now captures those messages on brain scans, and the results are incredible.
Reflexology isn’t just relaxation; it is your brain and body working together for better health.

World Reflexology Week 2025 is approaching ✨️👣✨️
I thought I would celebrate by sharing some lessor known facts of this wonderful treatment.
👣 Reflexology is an ancient practice, which has been around since 2330 BC.
👣 Modern-day reflexology was first used by an ENT doctor called William Fitzgerald and went by the name Zone therapy. It was actually used as a form of early anaesthetic for very minor surgeries.
👣 In Denmark and Sweden, reflexology is the most popular form of holistic therapy
👣 Reflexology can be performed on our feet, hands, face and ears.
👣 Although Reflexologists are not allowed to diagnose, issues can potentially be detected from your feet.
👣 Miniature Maps of the Body – feet are detailed maps and depict various organs and body systems.
👣 Reflexologists can incorporate, ‘foot reading’ where the shape, size and characteristics of a person’s feet to gain insight into their personality traits and emotional state. Foot reading is not scientifically validated. I do not use it within my reflexology practice but I do incorporate Emmett Technique.
👣 Clients have reported seeing colour and / or feeling sensations in their bodies as their feet are worked upon. Some feel energised after a treatment or indeed fall asleep during one. Everyone experiences it differently.
👣 Reflexology Paths – in some Asian countries you can find reflexology paths, which are paved walkways with a textured surface. This stimulates the feet as you walk and are designed as a ‘pick me up’.
👣 Animal Reflexology – The idea is that animals gain the same benefits as humans, although this is still a subject of debate by vets. I haven’t trained or had any experience of this (yet!!)
Reflexology is a rich and complex practice with deep historical roots and many benefits. While it’s often associated with simple foot massage, it’s much more than that. Reflexology’s ability to work throughout the body, and its potential to help with so many health issues, makes it a powerful tool for promoting overall wellbeing. Whether you’re looking to relieve stress, manage pain, or support your body’s natural healing processes, reflexology offers a personalised and holistic approach to health.

Make Reflexology part of your monthly routine
We regularly service our cars, we brush our teeth every day, so why not support our nervous system, stress levels, and whole-body balance with a similar care?
Monthly reflexology isn’t just a treat, it is preventative wellness.
Each session helps to gently reset our body and mind, reduce built-up stress, and keep all our systems flowing and functioning well. Over time, many clients experience:
✨ more stable moods
✨ deeper, more consistent sleep
✨ fewer aches and tight spots
✨ improved digestion and energy
✨ clearer thinking and emotional resilience
It’s like giving our body a monthly reminder of how it feels to function in a balanced way.
Whether you’re managing health concerns, moving through midlife, or simply wanting to stay well, regular reflexology is a gentle, powerful way to support your wellbeing.
You don’t need to wait until something feels wrong to care for yourself, make your health a priority before stress or tension takes over

Reflexology -v- Foot Massage. What’s the Difference?

Both feel good. Both involve the feet, but they are not the same.
A foot massage is a nice way to relax, using slow, flowing strokes and oils to soothe tired feet. It is comforting and pampering, great to feel calm.
Reflexology, on the other hand, is a therapeutic treatment. It is grounded in knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the body's reflex zones.
As professionally trained reflexologists, we ask about your health issues so we can work with precision, stimulating specific points on the feet, hands or face that correspond to organs, glands, and systems in the body to help improve what is happening with your health issues.
The goal is to support your health, restore balance, and activate your body’s natural healing processes.
So while foot massage nurtures the feet, reflexology supports the whole person: body, mind, and nervous system.
With Reflexology, we will feel relaxed but more importantly, we will feel more aligned 👣

The last couple of weeks have been truly astonishing. I'm absolutely overwhelmed. I've incorporated a new modality into Reflexology treatments. The magical 'Emmett Technique' has completely upped the game in pain removing. Too many messages received on how this therapy is a game-changer. If anyone is intrigued, I've popped a link in comments, to give you an idea of what it's all about.
