Welcome to The Norden Physio, a professional and friendly Advanced Physiotherapist, with over 11 years of experience gathered within the NHS, private practice and sport. About The Norden Physio
Hello and welcome to The Norden Physio page, my name is Tom and I am a chartered Musculoskeletal Advanced Physiotherapist with the perfect blend of NHS, private practice and sporting experience, gained over the last 11+ years. Consequently, I provide professional, comprehensive, experienced and above all friendly physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation to the local community. I am very passionate about the provision of honest and tailored physiotherapy to allow you to get back to the things you love doing. Therefore, each and every patient is thoroughly assessed and guided through their individualised rehabilitation by myself. I completed my initial degree in Physiotherapy in 2011 and have since completed an additional post-graduate Master of Science (master’s degree) in Advanced Clinical Practice, as well as a further singular master’s module in shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand pain. Therefore, whether you have spinal, arm or leg pain, these qualifications enable me to provide a highly skilled service, utilising assessment and rehabilitation strategies which are supported by research, clinical guidelines and are considered within the research/evidence-base as best practice. I have also been very fortunate to gain over 11 years of experience working within the NHS, graduating from a junior, senior and now to an Advanced Physiotherapist role, all of which involve the assessment and treatment of patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. Within this NHS role, I have had the opportunity to work within an award-winning spinal pain service, in addition to a soft tissue knee injury service for ligament and cartilage problems. Alongside my NHS work, I have also gained 10 years of experience in private practice, in addition to a number of years in sport, including working for Manchester City Football Club Academy, Mixed Martial Arts events and rugby teams. Consequently, these experiences allow me the opportunity to provide a professional, tailored and friendly physiotherapy service, which caters to anyone in the local community experiencing musculoskeletal pain. What to Expect
I provide my physiotherapy service from Easy St Personal Training & Physiotherapy Studio in Norden. Initial consultations are delivered over 60 minutes and treatment sessions over 45 minutes. These sessions are slightly longer in duration when compared with typical physiotherapy sessions and are delivered in this manner to ensure that you receive a thorough and detailed examination, have the opportunity to ask questions and fully understand your diagnosis. Treatment options consist of interventions which are based upon research, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence clinical guidelines (https://www.nice.org.uk/) or best practice. However, if your problem is unlikely to benefit from physiotherapy, I will discuss the alternative non-physiotherapy options with you and with your consent will write to your General Practitioner, to facilitate any onward referral. If you have any queries or questions, just drop me a message and I’ll be happy to help.
