Today was Michaels first day at comfort days and he was understandably nervous, but Our Pete took him under his wing and they’ve had a lovely day together - they even went exploring the garden centre this afternoon with our team leader Lisa 🪴

On returning to comfort days, Michael chose to gift Pete a painting that he’d made earlier in the day 🎨

We sense the start of a beautiful friendship 🥰

What a fantastic day our comfort day service users have had at the Imperial War Museum North 🥰

We did lots of reminiscing about the war and their childhoods, treated ourselves to a posh coffee in the cafe, and explored Salford Quays in the sunshine ☀️

As our Christmas fair approaches, we are on the lookout for tombola prizes, in order to raise funds for our hub.

We all do that inevitable clear out before the Christmas madness, so why not donate your unwanted new items and create some happiness for our residents? 🥰

Donations can be dropped off at our hub on Broad Lane, or our comfort days site at Moss Bridge House.

🎄 CHRISTMAS FAIR 🎄

Our annual Christmas fair will be held on Sunday 30th November 11am-4pm, and we are on the hunt for stall holders!

Stalls will cost £20 plus a donation to our tombola, set up will be from 10am on the day, and as always we will only be having one of each type of stall to maximise your sales 💰

We are so pleased to announce the second of our Family & Carers Evenings 🙌🏼

After the success of our first event, we realised the need for these vital sessions in our local community.

Do you have a family member with a recent diagnosis of dementia and not sure where to turn?

Are you caring for or supporting a loved one with dementia and not sure how to handle certain situations?

Do you feel like you need more knowledge and understanding of dementia?

Whatever your concern, we’re here to help - come along to our informal session where we provide tips and knowledge on supporting someone with dementia, as well as supporting yourself.

To book your place, please call 01706 248661 and choose option 4. Shani or Emma will be glad to speak to you further and make your booking.

Together we can change the taboo around dementia and make the world a more understanding place.

They enjoyed tea and cake at our cafe, The Woodlands at Hollingworth Lake, and admired the beautiful countryside 😍
