There’s been a lot of chat about lumps recently, but do you know the other signs of breast cancer?

Checking your breasts is as easy as TLC:

Touch your breasts: can you feel anything new or unusual?
Look for changes: does anything look different to you?
Check any new or unusual changes with a GP

Get used to checking regularly and be aware of anything that’s new or different for you.

Christmas is coming!

Don’t forget to order your repeat prescription.

It usually takes 5–7 working days for your medicines to be ready to collect – but remember to order early and allow more time ahead of bank holidays.

Ordering online using the NHS App is the safest and easiest way to order your regular medicines.

MYTHS VS FACTS: Understanding the COVID-19 Vaccine

There’s still a lot of confusion around the COVID-19 vaccine, and misinformation can make it harder for people to make confident decisions about their health. This poster breaks down some of the most common myths and explains the facts in a simple, clear way.

Here’s what you need to know:

✔️ COVID-19 vaccines were developed using years of existing research and have passed all the required safety checks.
✔️ Even if you’ve had COVID-19 before, immunity fades — vaccination boosts and extends your protection.
✔️ There is no evidence that vaccines affect fertility, pregnancy, or family planning.
✔️ The vaccine cannot give you COVID-19 — it simply helps train your immune system.
✔️ Natural infection carries risks of severe illness and long-term health problems; vaccination is a much safer way to build protection.
✔️ Most side effects are mild and short-lived.

Why getting the COVID-19 vaccine is important

💜 Protects you from serious illness
Even healthy people can become very unwell with COVID-19. Vaccination reduces the risk of hospitalisation and complications.

🧡 Helps protect vulnerable family members
Getting vaccinated reduces the chances of spreading the virus to older adults, young children, pregnant women, and people with long-term conditions.

💜 Strengthens community immunity
The more people who are vaccinated, the harder it is for the virus to spread — helping keep our community safer.

🧡 Reduces long-COVID risk
Vaccinated people are significantly less likely to experience ongoing symptoms after infection.

💜 Supports the NHS
Preventing severe illness helps reduce pressure on health services, freeing up care for others.

Just a gentle reminder that our wonderful Therapeutic Thursdays Group has now finished for the year and will not be meeting tomorrow.

The group will be back in January after our volunteers have had a well deserved rest.

We wish everyone a peaceful festive break and look forward to seeing you in the new year 🕊
