When you donate your items to our Springhill Shops are you registered as a Gift Aider? πŸ’š jhr

By simply signing up for Gift Aid when you drop off your goods, we can claim an extra 25p for every Β£1 we raise from the sale of your donated items. That means your support goes even further in helping us care for patients and families across our community.

All we need is your name, address and permission to claim. Our shop team will guide you through the quick and simple sign-up process when you drop off your items.

Follow our Marketing, Communication, and Engagement Manager Jess and her husband Rick as they sit down with one of our trusted partners, Molesworths, to write their Will and see just how simple the process can be.πŸ’š

Once you’ve taken care of your loved ones, you might also consider leaving a gift in your Will.

Throughout this Dying Matters Awareness Week, we have been sharing resources about the 2026 theme, Let’s Talk about Death and Dying.

The mission of Dying Matters is to break down the stigma and taboo of talking about death and dying. But sometimes, it’s hard to know where to start.

Death, dying and bereavement affect us all. This Dying Matters Awareness Week, we’re focusing on the importance of conversations about death and dying – with family, friends, employers, anyone in your life – helping you to get the conversation started.

This short animation by Emily Downe, and voiced by Dr Kathryn Mannix, guides you gently on a step-by-step journey through the process of dying. An important video for destigmatising conversations about death.

If you are looking for support, we have a bereavement service available that offers a range of flexible support to meet your needs and help you through the grief process.

Interested in volunteering? πŸ’š

Come along to our open day!

Join us on the 22nd May 2026 and discover what volunteer opportunities we have available!

You will be joined by our Volunteer Team and some of our current volunteers, who can share their experiences with you and show you what volunteer roles we have on offer in all parts of the Hospice.

We simply would not be Springhill Hospice without our volunteers; they are the reason we can continue doing what we do for our community, and they are invaluable to us!

Upon arrival, there will be a short presentation about Springhill Hospice and the importance of the care we provide. We will also have information stalls representing different parts of the Hospice you can join as a volunteer.

We are hosting two sessions on this day. The morning slot will be 10am until 12pm and the afternoon slot will be 2pm until 4pm. This will be held in Springhill Hospice Suite.

We have a limited number of places available in each slot, so we are asking you to book using the form below!

We look forward to seeing you on the day!
