Stepping Stones helps people live fulfilling, independent lives through personalised care and supported living, proudly part of Optimo Care Group. We specialise in supporting individuals with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, complex care requirements, mental health conditions, dual diagnoses, forensic backgrounds, and those transitioning to more independent living. Our services include supported living accommodation and flexible outreach support across Rochdale and the surrounding areas. Every person we support is treated with dignity, respect, and individuality. We take a person-centred approach to care, empowering individuals to make informed choices, pursue their goals, and live life on their terms. Our environments are designed to promote inclusion, confidence, and real personal growth, now and into the future. Our team is responsive, compassionate, and highly attuned to individual needs. Some members are trained in British Sign Language, helping us support people in more inclusive and meaningful ways. By tailoring our staffing to the unique requirements of each person, we provide consistent, person-centred care that empowers individuals to thrive.

At Stepping Stones, we are proud to celebrate Good Care Month by recognising the hard work, resilience, and compassion of our carers who support individuals with learning disabilities every day 👏

Our carers are the heroes who make a real difference in the lives of those they care for, and we are committed to providing the training, wellbeing support, and career opportunities to help them succeed 💫

Our Story

At Stepping Stones we recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of every individual by ensuring that a person centred approach is adopted. We are committed to enabling personal growth now and for the future, giving each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices. Our range of supportive services and environments will encourage each individual to fulfil their personal dreams and aspirations. Each individual will be valued and treated with dignity and respect and to be at the centre of , and included in all decisions made about their own life. Achieve and maintain their maximum level of independence with minimum level of support. We offer supported Living accomadation and outreach support for individuals with physical disabilities, sensory impairment , complex care, learning disability, challenging behaviour, dual diagnoses, forensic, mental health, and transition services. We also have male and female staff trained in British sign language. Our staff is employed to meet the needs of the service. Therefore we our more responsive and flexibility to meet services changing needs.
