Celebrating the Summer Solstice at the Manchester Monastery attending a workshop with the fabulous Marianne Williamson – best selling author and spiritual leader.

Marianne is an American author of 16 books, 4 of which have been New York Times best sellers. A quote from the mega best-seller A Return to Love, ‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure’

We had great soulful discussions about many different subjects including energy, levels of consciousness, mental health, the nature of the mind, how we use and misuse it and how the effects of negative thinking can lead to psychological suffering and influence the way we see ourselves and others.

The group participation was brilliant, very informal and relaxed. Within this space and through the Q and A section following each talk, it was so lovely that some of the participants shared their own stories and through sharing and talking, were able to tap into their own innate wisdom and discover their own insights. There were a few tears, lots of laughter, huge rounds of applause and a rightfully so standing ovation for Marianne at the end!

It was an honour to meet and chat with Marianne – and even have a hug!
