Blue Pits Housing Action

Blue Pits Housing Action Blue Pits Housing Action What we do:

We provide alternative support solutions for people with mental health needs and learning disability.

We are:

An inclusive, client needs-led, high quality accommodation and support service that promotes social inclusion and enables vulnerable adults to achieve their full potential. Through bespoke support and accommodation packages, we aim to meet the wants and needs of the client and to work with his support team. This may be supported living, shared accommodation or single tenancies throughout Rochdale. We provide a range of social care activities that include emotional and psychological support and promote wellbeing, prevent the need for more costly acute care services and that are oriented towards enablement, recovery, diversity and social inclusion

We uphold the privacy and right of every individual to be treated as such – with care, respect and dignity; to live as independently as possible in their own home and to receive the highest quality care and support to enable them to do so. We include and support families and carers by listening, reflecting and respecting their values and beliefs. A little more about what we do:

We enable people to make positive change by providing opportunities to enjoy and achieve
We help prevent and reduce anti-social behaviour, re-offending and the harm caused by alcohol and drugs
We promote reintegration by providing opportunities to make a positive contribution
We support healthy lifestyles and mental wellbeing by promoting physical activity, healthy eating and addressing substance use such as smoking, alcohol and drugs. Who we do it for:
Blue Pits Housing Action provides support to all adult groups, including adults who have mental health needs and those with a dual diagnosis of learning disability or substance misuse
How we do it:

By providing a highly skilled and experienced diverse workforce. By consulting and involving users of the service and, where appropriate, families and carers, in agreeing and implementing individual needs-led, holistic support plans and risk assessments. By promoting multi-disciplinary working with primary, secondary and tertiary health and social care providers. By providing opportunities for people to learn and develop skills through educational and awareness workshops and the facilitation of client-led self help support groups. Through partnership working with statutory, voluntary and community sector providers of education, training, voluntary work, leisure and fitness. The staff:

On Sunday we celebrate International Women’s Day – a time to recognise the strength, achievements, and contributions of women everywhere.

Across our organisation, women play an essential role every day – as colleagues, leaders, Support Workers and Service Users. Their experiences, voices, and talents help shape the supportive and inclusive community we strive to create.

International Women’s Day is also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of equality, respect, and empowerment. By listening to one another, supporting opportunities, and challenging barriers, we can continue building a culture where everyone feels valued and able to thrive.

To all the women in our community: thank you for the impact you make every day.

Bowling 24.02.26

Bowling is fun for a mix of physical, social, and psychological reasons:

🎯 1. Instant Feedback & Satisfaction

You roll the ball and immediately see what happens. A strike or spare gives quick, rewarding feedback — and even near-misses keep it exciting.

👥 2. Social Vibes

Bowling is built for groups. Whether you’re with friends, family, or coworkers, there’s lots of time to talk, joke around, and celebrate each other’s turns.

🏆 3. Friendly Competition

You don’t have to be a pro to compete. Beginners and experienced players can play together, and handicaps make it fair and engaging.

🎳 4. Easy to Learn, Hard to Master

Anyone can knock down pins, but improving your aim, spin, and consistency keeps it interesting long-term.
