Pilates peel up to glute bridge. Honestly one of my favourite moves. Not necessarily up the wall. For me, the separation in the lumbar spine feels harder than the rest of the spine.
Most of my clients know I practice this in the bath when the water is running out, due to the hard surface on the bottom of the bath giving that sensory feedback.

FRANCE
Flashback
FAMILY
♥️
Dear covid.
Thank you for making me remember what and who are important.
Holidays, I miss them, I miss France, the food , the people, the mountains.
My family, gone but not forgotten, all far away.
My boyfriend, forever close, even closer now.
My friends, not one nearby, such is the life of a traveller, however I am very grateful to my new colleagues and clients who keep me sane on a daily basis.

ASADO
Roasted Red Peppers
Full of flavour.
♥️
I have a friend that uses the word "Divine" sometimes.
I would choose that word for this taste, an occasional extra in a salad to add a hint of smoke and a texture you don't usually get in a salad. ( they can be slippy).
Introduced to me by a family in Argentina who adored their family ASADO on a weekend together at LA QUINTA
💚
Like to try this?
If you don't have a BBQ, poke a fork through the pepper and rotate over a gas flame on all sides. Take your time.
Then rinse and rub under a cold tap. Slice and add to salad.
Divine plant 🌿 power. 5 a day? 7 a day? Deffo one of your
Let me know what you think or if you have a dish you use peppers with.
Gracias

Which is your favourite?
Favourite flavour?
Favourite colour?
Favourite recipe?
We have all heard the phase "Eat your Greens"
Maybe you do.
Maybe you don't.
I decided to see what was in my kitchen.
In the freezer, I found frozen spinach and peas.
I grew up eating peas, potatoes and carrots with nearly everything. I still love peas. Pop in the microwave for about a minute and they're done. It's that simple.
Whizz peas (defrosted or frozen) in the blender with some herbs and a small splash of oil, and later you can spread on crackers or use as a dip. Extra protein, fibre for gut health and zinc to support lung function.
It's expensive to buy fresh spinach if you forget you have it (duh..short shelf life). I use it from the freezer adding it last minute to pan fried food, soups or stews. Extra Iron, fibre and folate for helping build your red blood cells.
Power houses: Broccoli, Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts Kale, Cabbage and Capers are all classed as Cruciferous veg. I love them all thankfully, but only when lightly cooked. Filled with Sulforaphane, a plant nutrient that helps stimulate certain enzymes for detoxification. In addition they're loaded with Vitamin A, B2, B6, C, Folate/Folic Acid, Magnesium, Potassium and Omega 3.
If you want to help wounds heal, create healthy red blood cells, strong bones, blood that clots properly, and a gut supported by plenty of fibre, eating greens might be a great reccommendation for you.
They aren't to everyone's taste. Some people might take time to adjust to the new foods, some may be intolerant.

As a Nutritionist I can recommend foods listed on the NHS website. I am not a Registered Dietician. Please choose your foods wisely.
Green is great.

MARCH
Walking outside brings me joy.
We should help each other move more
As a Personal Trainer, helping people you realise your role is Therapist, Motivator, Shoulder to cry on, Instructor, Movement coach, facilitator, Nutritionist.

For some movement brings pain, pushing through barriers and building confidence takes time and practice.
For others who are super enthuiastic to move ahead, do more, push harder communication is key.

Decisions have to be made regarding readiness and progression.
There's a trust in the relationship you build, mobility matters, as well as strength.
I do love my job, always learning and sharing.
Do you know anyone who might need extra help?
Thank you
Wendy

MAD MARCH
Let's start looking ahead and set a goal:
A realistic, achievable goal

Love your lungs, love your legs, love your text neck?
10 thousand steps
7 Thousand steps
5 Thousand steps
A daily March for a month, see how you feel. Tell a friend. Ask someone to join in, sharing is caring right?
♥️
March on the spot!
♥️ in the kitchen, at the bus stop, watching telly, waiting for the kids at the school gate. Sit down and march if you like.
Let's all look forward into a bright healthy, mobile future.
⌚💣
The NHS will be in undated when the last round of vaccinations is over.
Stand tall, lengthen your txt neck, look forward
Call it a challenge, or a commitment, a promise to your future self.

ORANGE food in the house?
Red Lentils! Yes...
Tiny rays of sunshine
50g shown here.
10g carbs (4 of which are fibre), 4.5g protein (18%), loaded with potassium and iron, a little vitamin B6 and C.
Filling, cheap and easy to cook!
The worst part? Picking the ten extra off the floor.. Just like coffee grains... They always land on the floor 🤣
Carrots and Satsumas? Easy to eat raw, both have Vitamin C

♥️
On the edge of the comfort zone.
I felt proud today, watching the progress 🤗
Here's one of my clients, trying something new and practicing technique slowly, in control without the weight then with.
Getting progressively more comfortable with bending down, bending over. Trusting the feet, knees, hips and back to do their thing.
It's not about how many KG's we lift when we learn new movements.
Coordination and balance and mobility all work together
To balance the body.
I love this move, the upper body stays square, the shoulders and hips counter balance the weight for a stable core move, big hinge, deepish squat, means lots of glute and leg work.
Ankles, knees, hips, spine, shoulders, elbows and wrists all work together and control the move.
I thank Charlie from .pt for showing me this move many moons ago in the gorgeous luxury gym in Norden.

A gift from Mother She made us resilient & stronger than we realise
♥️
Water it
Nourish it
Move it
Rest it.
It is a beautiful piece of art in the making, constantly breaking, constantly repairing
♥️
Do something your body will thank you for now and next year and every year ....... Repeat.
Forget about how you look, please. Appreciate what you can move, what you can do, what you can feel.
