📢 208 Missed Appointments this month!

Last week, 53 patients did not attend their booked appointments
and over the month of November there are 208 missed appointments!

That’s 208 opportunities lost for someone who needed medical help.

Missed appointments have a real impact, they increase waiting times, reduce availability, and put additional pressure on our clinical team.

⏰ If you can’t attend, please let us know.
Cancelling takes just a moment and allows us to offer the slot to another patient who may really need it.

📢 3 Easy Ways to Cancel Your Appointment

Reducing missed appointments helps us offer care to more patients. Cancelling is quick and simple:

1️⃣ Reply “CANCEL” to your appointment text reminder
- Your appointment is removed instantly.

2️⃣ Use the NHS App
- View and cancel appointments in just a few taps.

3️⃣ Call the surgery on 01706 346767
- As long as the number you’re calling from is linked to your medical records:
• Press Option 1
• Enter your date of birth as 6 digits (e.g. 281167 for 28th November 1967)
• Once your appointment is found, press 1 to confirm cancellation
- You can also use this service to opt to receive appointment details via text or via our automated phone line.

Every cancelled appointment helps us reduce waiting times and offer the slot to someone who needs it.

✨Today some of our team along with hundreds of others, braved the lovely British weather to complete the 3 Reservoir Ramble on behalf of Springhill Hospice. ✨

It was an amazing day supporting our local hospice who help so many patients within our community and who we have the privilege of working alongside to provide patient care.

Well done to everyone that supported our team in reaching our £500 target 💚 your support means everything!

We are supporting Springhill Hospice and taking part along side many others in the reservoir ramble. Come rain or shine this is a great cause we are looking forward to supporting regardless🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Important information about our Three Reservoir Ramble! ⛰️

It’s nearly the big day, and we can’t wait to see all of our wonderful ramblers at The Oxford on September 20th.

Before the event, we wanted to share some important information so everything runs smoothly on the day:

💚 What time to arrive.

We ask you to arrive from 9.15-10.00am at the Oxford (OL12 0TB).

Every participant will need to complete a waiver form, receive a walker number and t-shirt (if not collected already).

The walk is due to leave at 10.30am.

💚 Where can I park?

We ask that you avoid parking at The Oxford Pub (our start and end point).

We have parking at Shawclough Primary School (OL12 6NL), Thrum Hall Church (OL12 6DE) and Christ Church Healey (OL12 6EF) all very close to the start/finish.

If you park on nearby streets, please consider the local residents.

💚 What should I bring?

Sensible walking boots/outdoor footwear suitable for walking in open countryside which may be wet, slippery and muddy.

We would recommend layers and waterproofs as the weather forecast is mixed.

We try to avoid single-use plastic. If you need a drink for the walk please try and bring a reusable container and bring it full. We will have some water to refill yours if you need it.

💚 Breakfast?

Join us for free drinks for all walkers. There will be a huge selection of pastries for a small donation.

💚 After the walk?

Don’t dash off after the walk!

We have live music starting from 1.00pm and a fabulous array of food and drink on offer, including:

Our Children’s Flu Vaccination Clinic was a huge success – we had brave superheroes, happy faces, and even a little dance party to celebrate! 💉🦸‍♀️🕺💃

all primary school aged children and secondary school aged children will be vaccinated within the school setting
