EMpoweredpeople Our aim is to inspire adults with additional needs to take up cycling in order to promote wellbeing,

The charity will be based on cycling events and will start with a group of selected riders of varying disability who will take part in organised events through 2013 and 2014. A training programme will bring their endurance up to a level that will see the Empowered team ride from the Olympic Stadium in London to the start of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July of 2014. The EMpowered team of riders are a group of individuals who have been brought together by their love and passion for cycling and are united because of the word DISABLED. They are ordinary people who have had to adapt their lives on a daily basis and are ready to prove what can be achieved. This will be an inclusive and fully supported ride for people who are over eighteen years of age and have a message to give. To prove that they can be included no matter what their disabilities.
