So the music industry and faithful family of fans around the world have lost their Prince of Darkness as he has now gone into the light. Our sincere condolences go to Sharon their children and all the family for their loss, a loss felt all around the world as they have lost not only an iconic singer, but a husband and father. Forever in our hearts never forgotten. Fly high with the Angels Ozzy.

Good evening everybody, just like to post a quick informative message to say it is our fifth year anniversary at Hawden & Burgess Family Funeral Directors, it has been five years yesterday that I, together with my wonderful partner Jacqueline Stone, took possession of the keys to this special place in our hearts. We would like to thank all of our families who have entrusted us to look after them as well as their lost loved ones, it is always an honour to be given that trust and privilege which is one we don’t take lightly. We truly believe that you all become part of our family when you come through either of our doors so will always go that extra mile for everyone, as the care never stops. We have such a great team around us whom we trust to give the same love care and professionalism as myself and Jackie so we thank all of our team as without you we would not be able to function as well as well do. But the biggest thank you goes to you all, we absolutely love what we do and hope to continue looking after all our families both present & future. So here is to the next five years. Good morning to all the residents of Hoo, especially Hoo Marina Park. This is being posted with the permission and on behalf of the family of Thomas Mulligan who residents of Hoo Marina Park may well know. Thomas sadly went to sleep on Thursday 8th May 2025. Barbara and family would like to inform you that Thomas’s final special journey will be on Monday 16th June 2025 leaving Hoo Marina Park at just after 10.20am making our way to Thames View Crematorium, Gravesend Road, Shorne, Gravesend Kent DA12 3JH for an 11.00am service, this will be a service of celebration of Thomas’s life. The family would like to extend an invitation to any residents friends or family that knew Thomas and would like to be a part of this celebration to please join us. If you cannot make it and would like to make a donation in remembrance of Thomas please send cheques made payable to the charity the family have chosen in honour of Thomas which is Gaulton Day Centre. Cheques can be posted to Hawden & Burgess Family Funeral Directors, 43 Knights Road, Hoo, Rochester Kent ME3 9DT. If you are intending to be at the service there will be a donations box outside with the flowers that you can place your donation into. Following the service the family will be continuing the celebration and reminiscing about their precious memories of Tom at Hoo Institute, 25 Main Hoo, Rochester Kent ME3 9AA, the family have said if you can please come along and share your own memories with them. Good afternoon everyone, especially the residents of Grain Village. This post is being posted on behalf of the family of Doreen May. As you may or may not know we at Hawden & Burgess Family Funeral Directors were given the honour of looking after Doreen’s son Keith back in 2023. Sadly his lovely mum and resident of Grain Village finally went to sleep on Thursday 6th February 2025, and Doreen has now been reunited with her beloved son. We are privileged in being given the absolute honour of looking after Doreen, as well as her family. We will be making sure that Doreen’s last final special journey on Friday 7th March 2025 is as special as we can make it for such a wonderful lady. We will be driving to Grain beach, as well as pausing outside Doreen’s childhood home in St James Road which held so many memories for her. We will then make our way to Medway Crematorium for a 2.00pm. service of celebration of Doreen’s life. Her family would like to invite anyone that would like to be a part of that celebration of Doreen’s life to please join them at the Medway Crematorium on Friday 7th March 2025 at 2.00pm.

Our new addition to our window, our Angel is looking after our memory tree with all our memory baubles of all the lost loved ones we have had the honour trust and the privilege of looking after for our families. Fly high with the Angels all of you and sleep well you are all missed but all will be forever loved and remembered.

Good afternoon, I have been asked by the family to post this on their behalf regarding the sad loss of a much loved family member and resident of Grain.
We at Hawden & Burgess Family Funeral Directors have been give the honour and the privilege of taking care of a much loved Grain resident Annette Driscoll who sadly went to sleep for the last time and was reunited with her beloved husband John Driscoll. Annette was loved and adored not only by her family but everyone that came into contact with her so her loss will be greatly felt around the village. The family has asked that if anyone would like to attend Annette’s service you are very welcome to do so and will be warmly received. The service is set for Thursday 12th September 2024 at Thames View Crematorium Gravesend Road Shorne Gravesend Kent DA12 3JH The service for Annette commences at 11.00am. We will be leaving the village at about 10.00am via Chapel Road so if anyone would like to pay their respects and say goodbye to Annette please do so. Rest in peace with John sweet lady and fly high with the Angels.

Four years ago yesterday mine and my wonderful girlfriend and office manager Jackie Stones lives changed and changed for the better, I was given the privilege of becoming the owner of what is now Hawden & Burgess Family Funeral Directors. We serve our local community and we do it with love, professionalism and dedication 24 hours a day. We have a passion for this industry but more so for our families whom we are honoured to look after in their time of need. It is more so an honour as well as a privilege to look after the loved ones families have lost. We look after them like they are our family as that is what they are and what you as a family are to us. Jackie and myself as well as the excellent team we work with would like to this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to all our families over the last four years who have entrusted us to take care of you.
