I've thoroughly enjoyed chatting with one of our longest-standing patients today. Mr Stephen Foy, who told me about his friend Jimmy (James) Thorne who was killed along with his family at 26, Ordnance Street, Chatham on 14th December 1940 by a parachute mine.
Jimmy and Stephen were playing together and had been to the pictures together that day. On return to Jimmy's house the sirens went off and Stephen left for his home as his mother had told him.
A few minutes later the mine went off, devastating Ordnance street and killing 14 people, including Jimmy and his parents.
Stephen survived to become a Medway postman and the very amiable chap he is today. In 2014 he finally had his wish to have a memorial placed in Ordnance Street for his friend Jimmy and the other 13 who died that day.

Getting to Feetplus Rochester Podiatry Clinic on the bus. From City way Karson's pharmacy / The George Pub, the 145 bus goes to either Hospital Lane stop or Bath Hard Lane stop in about 10 minutes.

We are near Hospital Lane and Bath Hard Lane bus stops the 135,142, 145, 156, 174, 173 & 197 all pass by.

We are 700m from the Chatham Waterfront Bus Station (Pentagon).

We are happy to be installed in our new location.... 329 High Street Rochester ME1 1DA.
After 8 happy years at Karson's Pharmacy we now have our own premises.
We now have a waiting room and more clinic availability.
