Just sharing....

I lose track of the amount of people I talk to that are "spot on" with both their nutrition and exercise in the week 😍 but then the weekend arrives.... and they undo all that good work ! 😫😫

For things to get better, YOU have to get better!"

I have to say, that having lots of friends, and many a family occasion.. that for me too... this is a challenge ! πŸ€”
The thing is... you DONT have to be perfect, its all about balance.... BUT if you know you're going to slip off plan a little, then at least try to make allowances for it....

Drink more water ! βœ”οΈ
Make healthy choices with your food ! βœ”οΈ
(even in a restaurant - YOU are the customer ! Ask for water at the table, ask for extra veg and no potatoes... swap your fries out for sweet potato... etc etc... )
Exercise more ! βœ”οΈ Burn off the extra calories....

And most importantly.... don't fall into the trap, that just because the day is called something else (i.e. Friday and Saturday, you need to change what youre doing ! )

Remember '40-30-30'. . .

Probably the single biggest thing people struggle with is 'meal ideas' πŸ’‘

In Herbalife we like to take a different approach to meal advice, and rather than providing generic meal plans we prefer to educate on the basics on nutrition so that everyone can learn to create their own personalised meals, anywhere, anytime.

This simple picture breaks down different foods into 3 'macro' (means major) types, also showing the foods that overlap types because they are a good source of both.

For a balanced diet, ensuring the body is getting everything it needs, each day your total calorie intake should come from:

40% healthy carbohydrates
30% lean protein
30% healthy fats

So if you ate 2,000 calories a day, roughly, those calories should be broken down into:

800 calories from healthy carbohydrates
600 calories from lean protein
600 calories from healthy fats

Now, another thing we don't really focus on in Herbalife is calories, as, in general is not a healthy habit to single out and make decisions based on calories alone, PLEASE don't become a calorie bore. . .

BUT,

The simple fact is, for fat loss, the equation is simple, you need to create a CALORIE DEFICIT in your daily diet, where you burn more calories than you eat, so you must be calorie aware and as importantly you should ensure that your calories are coming in the right balance.

If you ever get stuck, don't blame your metabolism, Herbalife, stress, weather etc. Just ask yourself. . .

"Do I think i'm creating a calorie deficit?"
"Are my calories coming from varied sources?"
