I love Spring blossom and this smelt divine on a little walk through Hyde Hall in the sunshine.

What’s the acupuncturist’s advice for Spring? Ease into it slowly- our systems have been in ‘stasis’ mode over Winter, even if we have been rushing around madly. Just like you tend and nurture a garden to get the best blooms in the summer.

Stretch your body - Spring highlights the tendons so start to stretch these, clear away anything that feels a bit stagnant.

Keep that scarf on - protect your neck from any cold winds, where we say many of the diseases can enter the body, as you get enthusiastic about the returning sunshine.

Massage between the ribs and intercostal muscles. This season’s energy resonates with the Liver, diaphragm and side of the body.

Start to lighten up your diet a bit, move away from the Winter stodge. Add a few green vegetables and juices, the sour taste of apple cider vinegar is good to use.

Now is the time for planning, planting and starting new projects. Spring’s Wood energy is all about our vision for the future.
