residents on Birch Floor participated in a reading activity. Staff engaged residents by reading books aloud, selecting short stories and familiar passages to encourage attention and reminiscence. Several residents listened attentively, some followed along with the text, and others engaged by smiling, nodding, or commenting on familiar words and themes. The session provided cognitive stimulation, promoted relaxation, and encouraged social interaction. Overall, residents appeared calm and content throughout the activity, with positive responses observed.

Birch Floor engaged in a stimulating activity session. Several residents interacted with the sensory board/activity board, exploring different textures, switches, and objects. This provided opportunities for tactile stimulation, fine motor engagement, and sensory awareness. Residents appeared focused and showed enjoyment while manipulating the various items on the board.

In addition, some residents participated in a crossword task, demonstrating problem-solving, word recall, and cognitive engagement. A few residents collaborated and shared answers, which encouraged social interaction and teamwork. Overall, the activities supported sensory stimulation, cognitive exercise, and social connection.
