The Tall Pine: Paul Donne - Funeral Celebrant

The Tall Pine: Paul Donne - Funeral Celebrant I am a fully qualified and accredited Funeral Celebrant, based in South Essex. How ever that takes shape...it's important that it feels 'just right'.

Trained by Greenfuse, I create and lead unique, heartfelt and beautiful Funerals and Interment of Ashes Ceremonies. Every Funeral Ceremony I create is a unique piece of work: A ceremony which reflects the life of the person who has died, whilst also acknowledging the emotion that comes with grieving their loss. Whether it's a guiding hand, or a fully-led Ceremony, I am happy to offer as much input and involvement as you feel is right for you and your family. My inspiration comes from their unique life and character, as well as your own treasured memories and stories that you share with me. I'll be happy to with meet you in your own home, your garden, perhaps a hotel even - or via a WhatsApp Video call when logistics, time, or other circumstances make it difficult to have an in-person meeting. However we meet though, you can be 100% reassured that my support will be right there, at every step, in the time we spend gently preparing everything and, of course, on the day of the Funeral itself. How I liaise with and work alongside the other Funeral Professionals who play an active part in making your loved one's Ceremony as special as possible, is paramount:

From Funeral Arrangers, Funeral Directors and Bearers, to Cematorium/Cemetery Teams and music/media providers, we work togdther as a team, ensuring that everythjng is as it should be, before we bring your loved one centre stage for one, final time. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if there is a Ceremony I can help you with .οΏ½

Paul.

A lovely sunny afternoon at GreenAcres Living Memorial Parks in Epping where I led the ceremony (with a few dashes of Greek) for a family saying a final farewell to their special Greek Cypriot gentleman. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡· πŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ύ

Patrick is really tame and we also fed him before the service.

The sun may have decided to hide behind the clouds today, but it didn't stop the wall of colourful petunias lining the driveway from making an impression as I drove in to South Essex Crematorium. πŸͺ·πŸŒΊπŸ’

With a bit of time to spare until my late afternoon service, I took a couple of pictures before reading through my words over a nice coffee. β˜•οΈ

A beautiful, warm, sunny afternoon (15Β°c) at Parndon Wood yesterday, where I had a few moments to spare before the service I was leading arrived.

Some baby daffodils were out, and everywhere, as always, was looking immaculate 🌿🌼🐦

It's always a real pleasure to photograph these tranquil venues on a sunny day.

Another glorious, sunny late winter afternoon here at beautiful Enfield : How welcoming does that peaceful fountain look with the two magnificent chapels situated behind?

The grounds team are busy preparing for spring, and otherwise making sure that their pride and joy is always looking nothing short of immaculate.

I am here nice and early, so once again, I am enjoying my lunch and a quiet coffee in the waiting room whilst reading through my words for my afternoon service.

On Tuesday, I led a service for a wonderful Bosnian lady at the magnificent Golders Green Crematorium in North London - final resting place of many of the great and the good: Prime Ministers, Singers, Song-writers, Actors Actresses, and Authors, plus thousands and thousands of every day people. All people who we have loved and lost, or who fought for King and Country at the time.

I was extremely lucky to have been able to spend 45 minutes photographing this mesmerising venue in the low winter sunshine before the service. It is the oldest Crematorium in London, built in 1900 .

As always, the staff were beyond amazing. I can't thank Chapel Attendant, Malcolm, enough for all his support. πŸ–€πŸ©ΆπŸ–€

One of my lovely Funeral colleagues has just had her first book published. Take a look at her post below. Certainly a very useful resource for those in the Celebrant world, but also for anyone who has loved and lost someone, and who connects with the way in which this lovely book has been written. 🩡

It's not very often that I get to have a photo taken whilst on a Funeral, but today I was out on my first service with my lovely Funeral Director colleague Danielle (pictured on the left), from Oaks Funeral Directors - Cuffley as we led a farewell celebrating almost 10 decades of an extraordinary life at Enfield.

Danielle is absolutely amazing - and how lovely (and lucky) am I to have been able to capture this moment! πŸ₯°

On Saturday, I received this lovely 'thank you' card from a family I recently led a service for at Chelmsford Crematorium.

I am forever thankful for the gentle work I do as a Celebrant. πŸ’–

'Dear Paul,

On behalf of our family may I offer our most sincere and heartfelt thanks for all that you did to mark the final passing of our mother. My brothers and I could not be more grateful to you.

It was a small and sweet farewell, and your leadership of such an important moment for us gave it beauty and serenity, and it is a moment that will remain with all of us for the rest of our lives.

A million thanks, Paul. You are a very special person.'.

Goodness, I feel incredibly lucky today to have just received this beautiful Fortnum & Mason hamper as a 'thank you' from the family I helped with a Funeral on Tuesday at Greenacres in Epping Forest.

The family already said some really lovely words of thanks to me after the service, but this has just blown me away! ☺️

I am so grateful to do the gentle work I do - and I am most definitely feeling the love on this otherwise grey and gloomy Thursday. πŸ₯° πŸ’–

It's been a day of small chapels today, looking after two lovely Funeral services.

Firstly the 10:00am service in the intimate South Chapel at peaceful West Hertfordshire Crematorium, where a family said a final farewell to their special lady - finishing with an ABBA Classic: 'Thank You For the Music'.

Then, after a drive back round the M25 and A12, I led the 2:00pm service in the small North Chapel at Chelmsford Crematorium, looking after a really lovely family I helped before. It was a real honour to led their Mother's service this afternoon, having led their Father's Funeral just over 3 1/2 years ago.

It's been quite a day, but so pleased both services went way beyond the families' expectations.

I couldn't be happier.
