I used to think that I had to do more to connect to my spiritual side. Like getting up at sunrise to meditate. And while that sounds amazing, the reality is, I’m just not going to do that!
What I'm learning is that my spiritual practice is already a part of who I am. I just need to create space for it in small, quiet moments throughout the day. For me, that looks like:
🌬 Stepping outside for a breath of fresh air in the morning.
🌳 Noticing the trees and nature on my dog walks.
🌅 Soaking in a sunset and feeling gratitude.
🎵 Playing my favourite playlist that helps me feel connected.
🧘🏼♀️ And of course, time on my yoga mat.
It’s nothing elaborate or time-consuming but it works for me.
How do you make space for spiritual connection in your daily life? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

My first headstand since 2020.
During my long COVID recovery my body didn't feel like my own, due to lack of strength & various medications. And the desire to try this just hasn't been there until now!
I'm next to the sofa for a sense of SAFETY. This is something I talk about often. We get better outputs - strength, flexibility & balance when the nervous system feels SAFE.
This is why I give the option of standing near a wall when practising balances, even if you don't end up needing it. Just knowing there's support nearby can help the nervous system feel safer! 😊

Celebrating the Summer Solstice with morning chanting & an evening trip to the beautiful Hengistbury Head. We had sun, rain, a double rainbow 🌈 🌈 . Ending with a magical sunset. Moments like this fill my heart 💓🙏🏽.
Did you do anything to celebrate?

I'm back from a wonderful break away at Portland Bill where we celebrated Matt's Mum's surprise 70th Birthday 🥳. There was also lots of time to explore, walk and take in all the natural beauty! 🌊🌹🌇.
Classes are back on this week & I'm looking forward to seeing you!
This is what I do when my brain 🧠 gets stuck in fear based or unhelpful stories!
We can get so caught up in our thoughts. At times the negative stories and worst case scenarios can take over. Taking a mental step back to notice our thoughts – without judgment – reminds us that we are separate from them. It reminds us that we're the observer, not the story & by doing so, those thoughts lose their power!
Try it & see if it helps.

Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo✨
This mantra, often chanted in Kundalini Yoga, translates to:
* Ong Namo: "I bow to the Divine wisdom of All That is".
* Guru Dev Namo: I bow to the Divine Teacher within. It's a beautiful reminder that we hold so much wisdom & we can be our own greatest teacher.
One of my favourite ways to tap into this inner wisdom is by doing Julia Cameron's writing exercise.
In one column I write my question or problem. In the second column I write "guidance please". I free write anything that flows through my mind. I don't worry about it making sense. I write unfiltered. What comes through always offers comfort or inspiration. Why don't you give it a try?

I teach one to one and group yoga classes to nourish the body, mind and soul.
Hi I’m Becky ...
My yoga journey started in 2008 when travelling, I decided to spend some time at a yoga retreat in New Zealand. I helped on the retreat centre’s land and in exchange I had the opportunity to attend classes, meditate and learn breathing techniques (pranayama). I was only there for one week but it was life changing!
Previous to yoga my love was for martial arts, however, during my travels I fractured my pelvis (quad bikes and Thailand didn’t go well together) so martial arts was not an option. I found the movement and postures (asana) of yoga tapped into feelings of strength, both physically and mentally and the whole practice enabled me to feel grounded, centred and connected.
Twelve years on and I continue to find that yoga has a transformative nature. It can energise, restore, and create feelings of joy, courage and calm all of which can radiate off the mat. Yoga helps me to be attuned and connected to my body and cultivates a sense of gratitude.
When my yoga teacher set up a Yoga Teacher Training school it felt like the natural and exciting next step to embark on this training. It was a wonderful opportunity to delve into the practice of yoga and I’ve completed it having learnt how teach, Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and Advanced Asana. I’m now so excited to share all that yoga can offer to you!
