It's my last full week of classes before Christmas! Come along this week and next Monday and Tuesday for the final classes of 2025 to balance your nervous system and brain, tune your DNA and chakras, and release and strengthen your whole being to find harmony, coherence, and wholeness..... and FEEL GOOD!

This is an exciting time for many. And equally, a challenging time for many. And a stressful time for most, remember stress is a response to both good and bad things psychologically speaking, and what happens psychologically is mirrored physically.

Find your centre, breathe, take time to JUST be, being kind, loving and patient to yourself. Doing Yoga doesn't mean doing compass pose or chanting Om, it means loving and accepting yourself and from that place, walking a path in this world that leaves no harm, because we are all one.

So, this is my Christmas message and reminder to everyone... create time to just be, be compassionate and kind, and let joy be a natural state of being independent of any of the noise on the surface. Underneath it all, we just are. Peace. Bliss. Awe. Serenity. Love.

Sending Peace and Love this December πŸŽ„βœ¨οΈπŸ’–

CONFESSION: I don’t always feel like doing yoga.

But I know that I will feel better after yoga.

Motivation comes from action.

If we wait until we feel motivated, we will never start.

My body loves yoga,

My nervous system craves yoga,

My mind needs yoga.

I don’t have much free time so when I choose to prioritise yoga over everything else on my to-do list, I know from experience that I’m investing in my future self.

For me, life is easier, smoother and I’m more effective when I make time for yoga.

Without yoga I’m

😫always tired

😑moody and cranky

😀irritable

🀯have a cluttered mind

πŸ˜–stiff and sore

😡lack creativity

πŸ€”make poor decisions

So I know that making time for yoga will make everything else I do easier.

I don’t always feel like it but I never regret doing it.

What about you?

Drop an emoji if you agree.

No one has the power
to make you unhappy or miserable.
Mainly, we do this by ourselves.
Happiness is our real nature.
Sadness comes mostly through habit
and through identification with the personal self.
We can be happy every moment
but mostly, due to habit, we choose to focus
on what makes us unhappy
and so lose or hide our natural joy.
Develop the excellent attitude of gratitude
to all of existence.
Overlook petty thoughts, worries and troubles
β€”the bitter and the sweet.
Instantly, you will begin feeling uplifted in your spirit
and in a short time you will begin seeing life
through brighter, wiser and more loving eyes.
Start today.

People, when given a chance, smile, skip, and dance.

They create, play, and laugh.

They care, share, and love.

And the ones who don't, haven't yet realized that chances are something you give yourself.

Double dare you.

Instead of a normal Friday night out, how does a fun Friday night at yoga sound... in a special vinyasa workshop flow with tea and cake to re energise afterwards as we pick apart a little theory relating to our peak poses πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸŽ‚πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

Instead of waking up feeling sub-par on the weekend (for whatever reason haha), sleep like a goddess/god and wake up with the smug satisfaction of having done something that makes you
F E E L G O O D
ready to make the most of your weekend!

✨️✨️✨️

In a longer than normal vinyasa flow class, we will have lots of opportunity to fully shake off and stretch out the stresses of the week as we flow through invigorating back bends and vinyasas and float into forward folds and shavasana .. all in the name of body and mind preparation, laying the foundations, to work up towards the deep peak poses of splits and full wheel.

It doesn't matter if you can't do them now, or on the day, it's all about building up to it. The journey. And if it happens, wonderful, and if not, then that's okay. That's not the point. Rome wasn't built in a day. First they had to lay the foundations, and then lay down each brick one after the next, day after day. Enjoy the journey free of attachment, and just enjoy becoming acquainted with your body and breath so that you can feel truly relaxed and comfortable in them - to feel spacious, light, and free, and not just because of all that stretching!

It will have some challenging aspects and be a full vinyasa flow class, but that doesn't mean you have to do everything, and modifications or taking a rest are always welcome - it's yoga after all. If our breath is erratic, our body is telling us to slow down. So even if you think I can't do all of that, it really doesn't matter, don't let fear be a deterrent if you're intrigued to come along and have a little go at combining lots of fun vinyasa poses together in a practice that shouldn't be taken too seriously. If you already practice vinyasa, you are more than capable. Few people will be able to do the peak poses, don't lose sight of what yoga is about. Freedom. Clarity. Space. Playfulness. Coming home to ourselves, through our body, to inner freedom and spaciousness. And whilst it is mainly a case of practice, a little bit of theory (with snacks and tea) is always interesting and helpful to give us direction πŸ’ž

It's available to book now so feel free to book on and join us πŸ™ and any questions, please do ask away.

πŸ‚
As summer holidays and Bank Holidays come to an end and autumn begins to set in once more, we leave behind the full on nature and crazy times of summer. We begin to draw inward again in preparation for the darker months to come.
πŸ‚
Summer is a time of light, action, and fire, winter is a time of darkness, nurture and drawing inward. Both are necessary for balance, and rather than mourning the warmer, longer, light days, the coming shift of the seasons symbolises a time for us to rest and consolidate, to reflect, heal and evolve ready to live every day to the fullest once again next year.
πŸ‚
As the days begin to shorten and the temperatures drop, we can enjoy the feeling of boots, woolly hats, and scarves once more. Is there anything more satisfying than an open fire on a cold day? Taking pleasure in the simple pleasures of comfort, safety, and routine as we offer our bodies and minds a chance to counterbalance the preceding months, make repairs, and prepare for surviving the winter ahead. This makes autumn the ideal time to nurture ourselves, our routines, our mental health, and our physical bodies, our connections, our goals, and our priorities.
πŸ‚
We are nothing but the culmination of what we think and what we do.
πŸ‚
What we do, we can largely think of as our habits. Where we spend our time, the most valuable commodity we have. Treat your time as precious and do things that raise your vibration, that boost your endorphins (exercise), dopamine (success/reward), serotonin (pleasure/happiness), and oxytocin (love/connection) hormones, whilst eradicating cortisol and adrenaline (long term and short term stress hormones) from your body and nervous system. Tell your body it is safe and nurtured and loved through what you do, and your thoughts will reflect this.
πŸ‚
Become aware of your patterns in what you do, and what you think. Awareness is the first step to creating new habits and new pathways, and a habit is just something we routinely do, until it becomes so much a part of us that we can't imagine any ever way.
πŸ‚
We can have lots of healthy habits and patterns, variety is the spice of life after all ✨️ just notice how your body feels when you think certain thoughts, or see different people, eat certain foods, or do particular things. Our body always knows, and if it doesn't make us feel good, reflect, contemplate, maybe let things go. If something feels right, safe, homely, this is a good sign that we should plant more of those seeds; prioritising more of those thoughts, foods, people, or things. Let your instincts be your guide and listen to the communication from your body, it'll never lie to you even if we don't like what it's saying.
πŸ‚
In anticipation and celebration of autumn closing in, prioritise yourself to the point where you love yourself dearly. It can be said that this is the goal of yoga, to love yourself so much that you recognise beyond doubt that you are love itself, not a drop in the ocean but the ocean in a drop. And this starts with self care, nurture, sitting with yourself, opening your body and mind, creating space to be and to listen and cultivate habits and thoughts that work for you, not against you.
