I’ve designed this evening with the December madness in mind. A calm, candlelit space to begin the Christmas season feeling centred and grounded.

Yoga Nidra guides you into that dreamy place between waking and sleeping. In this state

brainwave activity shifts from active beta and alpha waves into slower theta waves, which are associated with deep relaxation, imagery, creativity, and the subconscious.

You’ll have the option to set a Sankalpa (intention), which in this state lands more easily, like planting a seed in soft soil. 🥰

Yoga Nidra is one of the simplest and most accessible ways to experience true rest without needing to “try” to meditate.

Many people say it feels as restorative as hours of deep sleep!

🕯️What to expect on Friday:

* Gentle movement to begin

* A warm, candlelit room

* A nourishing Yoga Nidra written by me with themes that support this time of year

* The soothing sounds of the crystal bowls

A deeper kind of rest

🕯️So what exactly is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra is a traditional yogic practice where the body rests but the mind stays awake. It’s not sleep and not quite meditation, the space in between.

During the practice, you’re guided inward through the layers of self (the koshas) and into a deep, calm state of mind. The subtle body opens, tension dissolves, and your intention (your sankalpa) is met by the deeper layers of awareness, the part of you that’s usually hidden beneath the noise.

In yogic philosophy, Yoga Nidra helps to clear the samskaras or the impressions and patterns that shape how we react and how we feel. It’s a bit like clearing out old emotional “static,” creating space for clarity, softness and change.



🕯️ Why it’s perfect for this time of year

December has a way of feeling crazy! Shorter days, tired bodies, long to do lists, the pressure to get everything organised…
This session gives you a rare pause in the middle of all that! A chance to rest properly, reset, and find a bit of calm.



🕯️What to expect

A warm, candlelit space.
A slow, gentle movement practice to ease out the day.
And then a long guided Yoga Nidra, supported with blankets, bolsters and deep stillness.

I’ll also be using the sound of crystal singing bowls to help you drop into a deeper state of rest.

Pop this one in your diary if you’re somebody who ends up overwhelmed by Christmas madness!

We’ll start the evening off with some gentle yoga to prepare us for a guided Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep/lying down meditation) accompanied by the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls.

A chance to switch off and rest deeply before the Christmas celebrations/madness 🤪 begins!

No effort or experience needed! Just bring yourself, some cosy clothes, a yoga mat and maybe a blanket and cushion for extra comfort.

This will be our final gathering of the year at The Nook!

Let’s end it in stillness, softness, and good company.

The Nook is a small, home-grown studio nestled in the Herefordshire countryside, designed to be a soft landing space.

There’s no mirrors, no pressure, and no need to perform.

The ethos is simple:
Come as you are. Move gently. Breathe deeply. Honour your rhythm.

Expect quiet moments, birdsong drifting through the window, lavender eye pillows and a warm welcome.

In a world that constantly pulls our attention in a million directions, it’s easy to feel overstimulated ~ always doing, always absorbing, never truly resting. When was the last time you gave yourself permission to slow down?
