Lovely to get out and about today! 🍂🚐
A big thank you to our wonderful volunteer driver Dom and The Ross Action Bus for helping make it possible.
After a lovely cuppa and a slice of cake ☕🍰, we enjoyed a wander around Dobbies Garden Centre — and of course, couldn’t resist picking up a few goodies! 🌸🪴
Such a wonderful few hours out in the crisp autumn sunshine. 🍁😊

👓✨ Time for the spectacle-cleaning fairies! ✨

You can always tell when Sheila’s been on the go — there’s a trail of sparkling glasses and smiling faces left in her wake! 🧚‍♀️💨
Armed with her trusty cloth and a twinkle in her eye, she’s been buffing and polishing like a pro — no smudgy lens stands a chance when Sheila’s on duty! 😎👏

Now everyone’s seeing the world a little clearer (and probably noticing all the biscuit crumbs they missed before!) 🍪😂

Well done, Sheila — our resident spectacle fairy strikes again! 💖

• Happy to work some weekends

🦅 A visit from Wye Valley Falconry! 🦉

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Luke from Wye Valley Falconry to Westbank! He brought along some incredible feathered friends — including beautiful owls, Chester the Harris Hawk, and even a very special eagle!

Residents and staff were absolutely delighted to learn more about these magnificent birds, and a few brave volunteers even had the chance to handle them.

A huge thank you to Luke for such a fascinating and unforgettable experience! 💛

💅✨ Nails, Face Packs and Full Houses! ✨💅

It’s been a wonderful day here at Westbank! This morning, our residents enjoyed a relaxing pamper session with soothing face packs, fresh manicures, and plenty of laughter. The room was full of smiles as everyone took time to unwind and enjoy a little bit of self-care. 🌸

After a peaceful morning of pampering, the afternoon brought a burst of excitement with a few lively rounds of bingo! 🎱 The competition was friendly but fierce — with cheers for every “full house” and plenty of giggles in between.

It’s days like these that remind us how special it is to combine relaxation, fun, and togetherness — the perfect recipe for a happy day at Westbank! 💕

🌾 Westbank Harvest Service 🌾

Today we gathered for our annual Harvest Service — a wonderful celebration of gratitude, community, and togetherness. It was truly heartwarming to see families joining our residents to share in this special occasion.

A heartfelt thank you to our home chaplain, Derek, for leading such a meaningful and uplifting service, and to the St Mary’s Community Group for their continued support and involvement. Your time, care, and compassion mean so much to everyone here at Westbank.

The room was filled with music, memories, and plenty of smiles as we reflected on the blessings of the season and the joy of coming together as one community. 💛

Su’s music and movement session had everyone stretching, smiling, and feeling fantastic for a whole hour today! 💪✨
It’s the perfect start to the week – a little exercise, lots of laughter, and plenty of great tunes. 🎵

🌟 A Heartwarming Morning with Our Westbank Tiny Tots! 🌟

This morning, we were treated to a truly special visit from our Westbank Tiny Tots! 👶💛
The lounge was alive with laughter, singing, and plenty of smiles as the children performed their favourite nursery rhymes and joined our residents for a morning of play and fun. 🎶🎲

It was a joy to see the generations come together — our residents’ faces lit up as they sang along and clapped to the music. Moments like these remind us just how powerful connection and community can be. 💕

To make the visit even more memorable, the children placed a special item into our Westbank Time Capsule! 🕰️✨ Their contribution will be a lovely reminder of the bond between our youngest and oldest generations, to be discovered by future residents and staff.

A huge thank you to the Tiny Tots team ( Childminders of Ross) who made this visit possible — you brought so much joy to everyone here today! 🌼

⛪️ Keeping the Faith at St Mary’s ☕️

Today, Pat, Doll and Maureen attended the beautiful service at St Mary’s Church, taking time to reflect, pray, and share a lovely coffee and chat afterwards with the congregation 💛

Moments like these remind us how important it is to keep faith close to our hearts — no matter where we are. Whether it’s within the church walls, at Westbank, or simply among friends, faith gives us comfort, connection, and strength. 🙏✨

We’re so glad Pat Doll and Maureen could enjoy such a meaningful Sunday morning together.
