We then welcomed our home chaplain Derek and the lovely team from St Mary’s for our monthly service 🙏 A wonderful way to come together as a community. 💛

🌟 Community, Music & Fellowship at Westbank

This morning may have been too wet for our planned outing to St Mary’s, but that didn’t stop us from joining the service via live stream together. It was lovely to still feel part of the congregation, sharing prayers and hymns from the comfort of home. 💒☔

Saturday we started the day with our Singing Together Group, led beautifully by our very own Jeff 🎶. His talent and enthusiasm, encouraged everyone to join in. Afterwards, we enjoyed a lively game of Bingo, filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a few happy winners!

Days like this remind us that even when plans change, the spirit of togetherness never fades at Westbank. 💛

🌟 What a wonderful few days we’ve had at Westbank! 🌟

Our days have been filled with creativity, laughter, movement, and community spirit:

🧶 Knitting & Cross Stitch – Our talented residents have been keeping their hands busy and their conversations flowing while working on beautiful pieces. It’s always lovely to see projects coming to life stitch by stitch.

🧠 Quizzes – A little friendly competition had everyone’s brains whirring and plenty of laughter along the way. It’s amazing how many fun facts and memories come up during quiz time!

💪 Armchair Fitness – We kept active with gentle, guided movements that help build strength, improve flexibility, and get us all smiling.

⚽ Friday Football – A favourite with many! Spirits were high as we kicked off the weekend with some fun and teamwork.

🎶 Music with the Fantastic Gil – As always, Gil filled the room with song, rhythm, and joy. Music brings so many smiles and even gets toes tapping.

🍽️ Lunch Club with Sheila – We ventured out to enjoy good food, good company, and the warmth of being part of the wider community. There were plenty of chats and laughter over lunch!

💛 Each activity, whether here at Westbank or out and about, brings our residents together — creating moments of joy, connection, and shared memories.

🌼🌺 Flower Power at Westbank! 🌺🌼

Today was all about flowers – and our wonderful ladies certainly rose to the occasion! Working together to create beautiful displays that have brightened up our home and garden.🌿✨

It wasn’t just about planting and arranging – it was about sharing stories, laughter, and a real sense of teamwork. Many of our ladies spoke about their favourite flowers from years gone by, and it was lovely to see the memories bloom along with the petals. 🌷💛

Now, everywhere you look at Westbank, you’ll find bursts of colour and the pride of a job well done. We’re so grateful for the joy and energy everyone brought today – the results are simply stunning! 🌸🌞

💐✨ Love was truly in the air at Westbank today ✨💐

We had the joy of celebrating two very special wedding anniversaries:
💍 Jan & Derek Nichols – 63 wonderful years together
💍 Judy & Brian Jackson – 64 beautiful years of marriage

Our activities team went the extra mile to make the day special, laying the table with roses to match Judy’s bouquet 💐, creating a setting full of warmth and romance. Meanwhile, our talented kitchen team prepared a delicious lunch, making sure both couples and their fellow residents could enjoy the celebration in style. 🍽️💕

Both proud husbands joined their wives for the meal, filling the room with laughter, love, and a lifetime of shared memories. 🥂

Here’s to Jan & Derek, and Judy & Brian – what an inspiration you both are to us all! 🌹✨

💅✨ Pamper Tuesday at Westbank! ✨💅
This morning our lovely ladies enjoyed some well-deserved TLC with hair, nails and feet pampering – lots of smiles all round! 💖

This afternoon we swapped nail files for mixing bowls and baked a delicious Chocolate & Courgette Sponge 🥒🍫 … made even more special because the courgette was home-grown by our Green Fingers Club! 🌱👏 (counts as one of our five a day, right? 🤣).

A perfect day of pampering and pudding! 🧁

🌟 What a week of fun at Westbank! 🌟

From lively Music & Movement sessions that got us all up and smiling, to the cosy chats at Knitting Club, it’s been a week full of energy, laughter and connection. 🎶🧶

We tried out some cheeky Snapchat filters (lots of giggles there! 🤳😂), added a splash of style with our Leopard Print Fun Day 🐆💃, and enjoyed a relaxing bit of Pampering 💅✨. Of course, we couldn’t miss a classic game of Bingo — always a favourite! 🎉

These are just some of the special moments we’ve shared, and every day brings its own sparkle here at Westbank. ❤️

🎉🐆 A Very Special Birthday for Jayne! 🐆🎉

Today we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating the birthday of our lovely Jayne. 💛 Anyone who knows her will know she has a flair for style – especially her love of leopard print!

Our talented chefs rose to the occasion and created a truly spectacular leopard-print cake, which stole the show and had everyone talking. 🎂✨ The room was full of laughter, smiles, and plenty of love as we all gathered to mark Jayne’s special day.

Birthdays are always special here at Westbank, but this one felt extra memorable – full of personality, fun, and a touch of glamour, just like Jayne herself. 🌟

From all of us, Happy Birthday Jayne – we hope this year brings you as much joy as you bring to everyone around you. 🥳❤️

✨ Pampering Tuesday! ✨This morning was all about a bit of TLC – Anita the hairdresser popped in for fresh trims, and residents enjoyed manicures and pampering (not many photos… we were too busy working hard 🤣).🎤 Afternoon Karaoke Fun 🎤The activities team gave it their best shot… but let’s just say we won’t be giving up our day jobs any time soon 🤣 Luckily, residents and staff joined in, making it a brilliant, laughter-filled afternoon.A special shoutout to Sam and Honey, who are always fantastic at engaging with both residents and staff 💛

🥪 The Sandwich Ladies are back in action! 🥪

They say the trouble with doing a good job is… you get asked to do it again! And we couldn’t be happier about it. Our wonderful ladies rolled up their sleeves once more today to prepare a mountain of sandwiches for tea.

From buttering loaf after loaf to carefully stacking each slice, there was plenty of teamwork, chatter, and a good helping of laughter along the way. And of course — the results were as delicious as ever!

A big thank you to our Sandwich Ladies for turning something simple into something so special. 💛 You truly make teatime a treat.
