🎶 Ribbon Twirls & Toe Taps! 🎀

Today, Our Activities team Sam & Katie brought joy and movement to Westbank with a wonderful music and ribbon dancing session! Residents swayed, twirled, and tapped along to some favourite tunes, enjoying the rhythm and colour of the flowing ribbons.

The room was full of laughter, music, and graceful movement – a perfect blend of gentle exercise and creative fun.

Ann was one step ahead – the puzzle was out, the pieces sorted, and the corner pieces already in place! All she needed was her jigsaw buddy Katie to join her for an afternoon of teamwork and tea. ☕🫖

There’s something so comforting about sharing a quiet moment over a jigsaw – laughter, conversation, and the satisfying click of a piece in the right place.

🌸 A Blooming Lovely Day🌸

Our residents had a delightful time arranging fresh summer flowers for our dining tables – bringing a burst of colour and joy indoors! 💐✨

We then took a sunny stroll to visit our wonderful home chaplain, Derek, where we enjoyed delicious cake, plenty of cheerful chatter, and admired his beautiful garden in full bloom. 🌿🌼

It was the perfect way to celebrate the season – with friendship, flowers, and a little sweetness too. 🍰☀️

🌞 A Dose of Sunshine and Creativity 🎨

It was lovely to get out and enjoy some fresh air and vitamin D today!
Jane had a wonderful time stretching her legs with a gentle stroll to The Prospect, followed by a relaxing wander through St Mary’s Art Exhibition.

Sometimes a bit of sunshine, good company, and beautiful art is the best medicine. 💛

Afternoon Boost with Music and Movements 💪🎵

Su joined us this afternoon for another uplifting session of Music and Movements! With gentle exercises and plenty of encouragement, she had us all moving, stretching, and smiling.

It’s always such a pleasure to welcome Su to Westbank – her sessions are a real boost for body and mind. 💛

🌞 A Busy and Brilliant Day at Westbank! 🌸🛍️📚☕💅🃏

Our Gardening Club gave the roses some love this morning with a bit of deadheading 🌹 — followed by a sunny break in the garden and a slice of scrummy cake! 🍰🌞

Over in Book Club, it was all about creativity as residents made their own colourful bookmarks to keep their place in the next great read. ✂️📖✨

One of our ladies enjoyed a lovely one-to-one shopping trip to Roos town, having a good mooch around the shops followed by a well-deserved coffee and a chat in the sunshine. 🛍️☕😄

Back at Westbank, a few residents were treated to relaxing one-to-one manicures 💅 while others enjoyed a friendly round of card games — always a bit of healthy competition and plenty of laughter! 🃏♥️♣️

And this afternoon… it’s eyes down for Bingo! 🎉🖊️ Nothing like a full house to finish the day with a cheer!

☔🌞 St Swithin’s Day at Westbank! 🌞☔They say “St Swithin’s day if thou dost rain, for forty days it will remain…” – so we kept one eye on the sky and the other on the lyrics sheet! 🎶🌧The Activity Team got everyone stuck into some classic British weather singalongs today – from “You Are My Sunshine” to “Singing in the Rain,” we made sure the forecast was 100% fun! ☂️💃Here’s our little reel for a giggle – enjoy! 🎥💛

🌴🎶 What a fabulous hour of music we had with Julie JB Steelpan Music today! 🎵☀️

If we’d closed our eyes, we could’ve sworn we were in the Caribbean — sunshine, rhythm and all! 😄🌺 The beautiful sounds of the steel drums had us all smiling, swaying, and singing along. Even the staff couldn’t resist a little dance! 💃🕺

Thank you, Julie, for bringing the sunshine to us — it was an afternoon to remember! 🌞❤️🎶
