As the cold weather sets in, here are a few simple ways to stay warm and well:

• 📺 Keep an eye on weather updates and make sure you have enough food and medicine
• 🔥 Heat the rooms you use most to around 18°C
• 🚪 Reduce draughts and keep bedroom windows closed
• 🧥 Wear several light layers
• 🏠 Use energy-saving tips and check appliances are working safely
• 🤗 Check in on vulnerable neighbours or family
• 💉 Get your flu and COVID-19 vaccinations if eligible

🌼 Meet the Carer – Peta! 🌼

This week we’d love to introduce you to Peta, one of our wonderful carers here at Wye Care.

Before joining us, Peta spent the majority of her career working in finance, but her passion for helping others led her to a new and rewarding path in care. She has experience supporting adults with learning difficulties and disabilities in the Forest of Dean, where she discovered just how fulfilling care work can be.

Outside of work, Peta enjoys reading, listening to music, and taking well-earned holidays in the sun! ☀️
