📣 Meet the team – Molly, Staff Services Manager 💙

This week, we’re proud to introduce Molly – our brilliant Staff Services Manager and director here at Wye Care!

Recently married in a stunning ceremony in Spain, Molly is part of a wonderful blended family including 6 beautiful children. But her passion for caring started long before adult life – at just 6 years old, her mother reports she refused to leave the day centre where her mum worked until an elderly lady was safely taken home 💕
That same nurturing nature has guided her ever since ❤️

Molly began working in care at 16 and went on to work with the local district nursing team as a community support worker, becoming a familiar and friendly face to many across the area.

When she’s not dedicating herself to Wye Care, Molly’s enjoying quality time with her family, heading out horse riding, or supporting her husband Steve with his exciting new venture – Patio Pro.

Molly brings a big heart, a wealth of experience, and a whole lot of drive to Wye Care. She’s taken on her role with real passion, leading staff recruitment, training, and welfare with care and commitment.

We’re so lucky to have her at the heart of our team! 💛

🌞 Happy Monday and welcome to a brand new week from all of us at Wye Care! We’re kicking things off with Meet the team Monday… and this week, it’s all about Tina.

🌟 Meet the team Monday – Tina- administration manager 🌟

This week we’re celebrating someone who truly needs no introduction… it’s Tina – director, carer and admin queen.

Tina has spent her life caring for others in so many ways. As well as being a driving force behind Wye Care, she has years of experience as a childminder and a foster carer – offering love, guidance, and a safe home to many children over the years.

She also has a background as a medical secretary, which is a huge asset to Wye Care and the importance of organisation helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Tina loves spending time with her husband and family. She’s travelled the world and has been on some incredible adventures 🌍✈️

Tina is a proud mum of 3 and a loving grandmother to 6 very talented grandchildren – from football stars to budding ballroom dancers 💃⚽ She’s also a fantastic cook, and anyone who’s lucky enough to taste her food knows just how good it is!

She’s a familiar face to many in the community and a truly treasured part of our Wye Care family. ❤️

🌞 With more warm weather due this week across Ross-on-Wye and surrounding areas, here are some of the ways we keep our clients safe in the heat: 🌡️💧

At Wye Care, our clients’ wellbeing always comes first – especially during hot weather. Older adults can be more vulnerable to the effects of heat, so we take extra steps to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable.

💦 We closely monitor and document fluid intake using fluid charts to help prevent dehydration.
🏠 We make sure homes are well-ventilated, curtains are drawn in the daytime, and fans are used where needed.
🧃 We offer regular cool drinks and hydrating snacks like fruit, jelly, and ice lollies.
👒 We encourage light clothing and reduce time spent outdoors during peak heat hours.
🛁 We assist with cool flannels to help regulate body temperature.

☀️ Heatwave Tips for Older Adults:
• Stay in the coolest room at home
• Avoid caffeine or alcohol
• Eat smaller, lighter meals
• Use a damp cloth on wrists, neck or ankles to cool down
