We’re pleased to announce the return of Light a Candle this Christmas!

Taking part in this Christmas’s Light a Candle gives you the opportunity to create online memorials throughout the festive period.

Christmas is a special time to celebrate with family and friends, and our virtual candles are a thoughtful way to pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.

We'll be sharing virtual candles on our page between 15 and 21 December. There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

Each year, we choose a cause close to our hearts to receive donations from our Christmas Memory Trees 🎄🎄situated in the peaceful surroundings of our Memorial Gallery within our Wood Street garden. These trees have become a deeply personal place for families to pause, reflect, and remember those they hold dear during the festive season.

This year’s donations will support HARTSAR, led by Erica Hart, a compassionate local service that relies entirely on public generosity. Using specialist drone technology, HARTSAR helps to search for and locate missing dogs, bringing hope, comfort, and precious answers to families facing the heartbreak of a missing beloved pet.

If you would like to write a message and place a card on the tree, while supporting this incredible cause, please visit reception at our Swinton branch where a member of our team will be honoured to assist you.
