It’s been a busy day at Moorgate Lodge, we celebrated the gentlemen of Moorgate Care Village on International Men’s Day with a game of cards and Dominos in the Nightingale, we had a trip to the pub for lunch and then enjoyed a competitive game of carpet bowls this afternoon!

Residents enjoyed a friendly boules competition today, followed by a lively music quiz. Lots of laughter, teamwork, and a bit of healthy competition made it a thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone!

Today we chatted about why kindness matters — how even the smallest acts can make a big difference. And of course, we celebrated with an amazing cheese board that everyone went crazy for! 🧀✨

Our residents have been busy this week painting beautiful poppies in honour of Remembrance Day. 🎨❤️
Each brushstroke was made with love and reflection — remembering those who gave so much for our freedom. The poppies now brighten our home as a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for us all.
We will remember them.

🎆 Remember, remember the 5th of November! 🎆
Our residents at Moorgate Lodge had a wonderful Bonfire Day celebration 🤩
They enjoyed a virtual fireworks display from the comfort of the lounge — all the colour and excitement without the chilly weather! 💥✨
To make the afternoon extra special, everyone warmed up with a delicious hot chocolate — the perfect cosy treat ☕️❤️
A lovely day full of fun, comfort, and big smiles!
