Look for opportunities to make others feel included and welcome. It's so easy to stay stuck inside our own bubbles and miss the people outside of our bubbles that need us.. or who we might need!

Notice the one who might be feeling left out. Most of us have felt this way at one time or another. It only takes a single caring person to make the difference in these situations.

Be generous with compliments. If you're marveling at how you love that woman's dress... say so! It might make her day!

Encourage each other. Life is hard. Stressors are at an all time high, while peace and rest are diminished, for so many. How can you give encouragement or hope to someone around you?

Make an effort to praise strengths more so than you criticize weaknesses. Anyone can find the dirt. Be someone who finds the treasure, and help others to see it as well!

In lieu of judgment, offer the benefit of the doubt. Assume the best in others.. not the worst. Extend grace. Show empathy, by putting yourself in someone else's shoes. You have no idea what others go through, or what brings people to particular junctures.

Simply be KIND. It costs nothing to offer a smile, encouragement, compliments, a listening ear, or your friendship.

Think outside of yourself when you are sitting at that table, and you see another woman looking lost and lonely, please reach out and make room.

The choice is always yours to make..

BUT.. We are what we eat.

The food we place in our mouths becomes part of us and helps to dictate our future health outcomes.

Take time to educate yourself, reflect on your choices and learn new ways to help forge a new path for a healthier and happier you.

Diet World Thinking:

"Well, that's bonnie night over for another year, hey-ho, it's nearly Christmas.

It's so flippinโ€™ cold, my body NEEDS comfort food to keep it going this time of year.

Plus Christmas parties are going to start ramping up in a few weeks.
Life's too short to be miserable.
Might as well quit this diet lark for this year.

I'll worry about it next Spring" ๐Ÿ˜•(conveniently forgetting you said you can't diet in the Spring last year because you had too much on and wanted to drink in pub gardens and have bar-b-ques).

My Thinking:

"8 weeks left until the end of the year. Great, that's 8 weeks more possibility.

Yes, I've got more social occasions than usual coming up.

But, the reasons why I wanted to let go of this weight are still very much there. If I quit now I know I'll 100% regret it come the New Year.

If I quit now, I can very easily (and lets face it probably will) gain about half a stone between now and the new year.

If I carry on, even if I plan some off-plan days to fit in around my social occasions, I could EASILY let go of half a stone (more depending on how many days I'm prepared to stick to plan)

So whatโ€™s the point in giving up?
I am the point here.
I'm dieting differently this time. The only thing I'm quitting is my old, unuseful "all or nothing" thinking.

I don't have to be 100% on a strict Step 100% of the time.

The beauty of The 1:1 plan is how flexible it is with the different Steps, and I'm going to take advantage of that.

So I'm going to put a plan in place, work out what Step I'm doing on what day.
Plan in my off-plan social occasions, and share my plan with my consultant to make that commitment to myself.

Life's too short for me to give up on my dream. I'm going to wake up on the first of January happy with and proud of myself.

But remember, progress often comes in small steps, not giant leaps.

Transformation Thursday with Karen ๐Ÿ‘

When Karen came to Consultant Kirsty after the New Year, she wasnโ€™t totally convinced sheโ€™d stick with it. Like so many, she hoped this would be the year. She hoped sheโ€™d finally find a healthier way of life.

She had the support of her family. But what she really needed was to believe in herself.

And wow โ€” did she show up.

Every single week, Karen checked in. Not just on the great weeks, but on the tough ones too. She kept going through self-doubt, through health complications that wouldโ€™ve made many give up.

But Karen didnโ€™t quit. She kept showing up for herself. She reached her goal. She transformed her life. And now? Sheโ€™s building long-term healthy habits in maintenance and is doing it with grace and determination.

Sheโ€™s inspired everyone around her, including us. The 1:1 Diet is proud to be part of her journey.
