Hi everyone new to my page!

Welcome, I’m Angela.

I am a British Wheel of Yoga teacher based in the community of Rotherham.

I run community yoga classes, yoga workshops and retreat days in the Rotherham area. Workshops are held once a Month. I also teach weekly and have yoga offerings in the Barnsley area.

🧡 Happy Autumn Equinox 🧡

In the UK, the shift begins as summer's light fades into darker, starlit skies. The vibrant colours of autumn glow by day, while the earth gently releases the last of summer’s bounty. It’s a time to gather the harvest, to store and reflect, as nature begins its return to the outward stillness, and inner more subtle vibrations.

The autumn equinox reminds us of the balance between light and dark, and yoga teaches us to embrace both effort and ease, grounding us in the present moment.

Just as day and night meet in harmony, yoga guides us inward to discover our own balance. In stillness, we find our center.

Let us welcome this season of returning, restoring, and re-centering.

Join me this week in classes as we bring the elements of the Autumn Equinox into focus for our yoga practice 😌🙏🏻

This evenings New Moon Eclipse, opens the gateway to the Autumn Equinox. A rare convergence of powerful cosmic events 💫

🌑 A New Moon is already a time of new beginnings, introspection, and planting seeds for the future. The solar eclipse magnifies this energy a reset point on a much larger scale.
Eclipses mark turning points often bringing sudden change, revelations, or course corrections.

🍁 The Autumn Equinox marks a day of balance, equal light and darkness and the transition from summer to autumn. It’s a threshold moment between the outward action of spring and summer, and the inward reflection of autumn and winter.
A time of harvest, reaping what you’ve sown earlier in the year… it’s about gratitude, letting go, and preparing for inner work.

✨ When these events happen at the same time, it symbolizes a powerful collective and personal shift:

🔄 The eclipse brings sudden new beginnings, and the equinox supports a pivot point. Together, they signify a transformational portal: releasing old cycles and stepping into a new direction.

⚖️ The equinox calls for inner and outer balance… the eclipse may shake up what’s out of alignment and you may be forced to confront what’s not sustainable or authentic.

🙏🏼 Any intentions set around this time are supercharged. Since solar eclipses have ripple effects for 6 months or more, this moment sets a tone for a longer cycle.

🪐 This Earth sign Virgos eclipse prompts reality about what is working and what isn't in your daily life and promotes practicality and organisation.

🌌 Use this time to:

🌾 Reflect on what you’re harvesting… what is working for you?

🍂 Release what’s no longer aligned

🌱 Set intentional seeds — not just for a lunar month, but for the months ahead.

Planning for retirement? 🤔

Often we are considering the financial plans, how much money we will have, what we will spend our money on and what we will do with the time and new found freedom.

But what we often forget to consider in planning our retirement is if we will be well enough to do all the things we plan. We forget our home, the body, the very thing that enables us to live and experience this life.

We forget the need to manage stress, to have time to stay active and time to rest and restore.

A holiday once a year and a couple of wellness/ beauty treatments in the mix? Is that going to be enough to walk your body into retirement with good health?

What we do today matters. Nourishment and taking care of you, the whole you matters. Body, mind and spirit/ soul.

Words to think about. 🙏🏻✨

We all know the importance of investing in our future. But the truth is, your body and mind need their own pension plan too.

Every time you step on the mat, pause to breathe, or lie down in savasana, you’re making a deposit. Not just for your muscles and joints, but for your nervous system, your resilience, your sense of calm.

Yoga isn’t about turning back the clock. It’s about creating a future where you can move with more ease, rest more deeply, and live more fully.

Every practice counts. Every breath is an investment.

So… what deposit will you make today?
