It’s also the first time that some of new members may get the chance to face their old club…….if selected 😜

Wakefield Wideboys 5-1 Fit4U Rotherham

Ok, so the overall result wasn’t what we wanted yesterday, but the work rate and the performance from every player was tremendous.

Up against a very good side, and a sketchy first half conceding too many easy goals, we found ourselves 5-0 down at half time. At half time the lads were asked to make themselves more compact as a defensive unit. Every single player took on the instructions and advise from the management team and went on to win the second half 1-0, with a free kick from assistant manager Kev Houghton (his first ever goal for the club).

Fit4U Rotherham 4-5 Nottinghamshire MvF FC

An extremely frustrating result to take today, absolutely gutted to come away with a loss after a hard fought game against a good Notts side.
At one stage leading 3-1 ,we then found ourselves 4-3 behind.. we managed to get the equaliser, but a late goal from Notts claimed the win and the three points…
The draw would surely have been a fair result for both sides, so extremely disappointed to not get anything out of the game..

There were positives in the game from our side, all the lads worked extremely hard and I am sure if we perform like that every week then we won’t go far wrong..

Another two competitive debuts for Chris Rhodes and James Humphries-Hart, along with home debut for Rob Bull in goal…

What a great start to the season…

Unfortunately, both of the management team were unavailable to attend the match yesterday, but even without them the squad came away with a 3-1 away victory against Lincoln MvF 2nd.

A hattrick from striker *Dave Smith* secured the three points for the team.
However, all early reports are the full squad performed really well.
