What a great start to the season…

Unfortunately, both of the management team were unavailable to attend the match yesterday, but even without them the squad came away with a 3-1 away victory against Lincoln MvF 2nd.

A hattrick from striker *Dave Smith* secured the three points for the team.
However, all early reports are the full squad performed really well.

This weekend sees the return of the Yorkshire XL11s League, and our first game of the season is Away against Lincoln MvF FC.

This weekend saw our second and final pre season friendly against EyUp FC of Bradford.
Playing at a neutral ground (Frickley Park), once again we took a good squad of 18 players to the match.
With some returning players, and a few new ones, we also saw the debut of Rob Bull in goal.

A mixed performance theoughout the game saw Bradford run out 7-4 winners, but the result doesn’t matter, it’s all about minutes in the legs and the lads getting used to playing alongside each other again.

A weeks rest for the lads now before we start the new season of Yorkshire XL11s League on Sunday 3rd August.

This weekend sees our second and final pre-season friendly.
This time playing at a neutral venue (Frickley Athletic) against EyUp FC.
Once again a large squad has been named to get minutes in the legs ready for the season starting in August.

Tomorrow sees our XI’s Team return to action in their first pre-season friendly against Cleveland Steel.
The beginning of the new season sees a major change to the Management Team, with Mick Richens stepping down, and Club Captain Dean Buffam stepping up the helm…

Kick off tomorrow is 13:30 at Watch Academy, the weather is going to be lovely ☀️ so come down and support the lads if possible.

Further announcements will be made over the coming weeks on the management structure…

But first……..Tonight is our End of Season Awards Doo at Down N Out in Rotherham…. 🍻 🍺 🍻

📣 NEW Wellbeing Wednesdays Sessions 📣

Last week saw the inaugural week of our new Wellbeing Wednesday sessions….

Over 40 members turned out and were split into 4 teams for the first week of the season.

It was an enjoyable evening and sure to be the next big thing for our Fit4U members.
