I get it , I love, practice and teach both — Pilates is beautiful movement.
It’s strong, elegant, controlled.
But yoga… yoga’s the thing that strips it all back.

Don’t worry…
You can choose both - I do ….
You can move your body and your energy.

Yoga doesn’t sculpt your body for the world to see, it shapes the parts of you that no one else can.

It teaches you to listen. To breathe. To let go.
It reminds you that presence is power, not 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.

So yeah…the trend might have shifted.
But yoga was never about being trendy.

What is yin yoga?

* Pace:

Yin is a slow-paced practice where the focus is on holding poses for an extended time, compared to more active (yang) yoga styles. ��
* Poses:

The practice involves mostly floor-based poses, including forward bends, lunges, and gentle backbends, which are held for several minutes at a time. ��
* Focus:

It targets deeper connective tissues like bones, ligaments, and fascia, rather than muscles. ��
* Mindfulness:

It is a meditative practice that encourages you to focus on your breath and become present in the pose, fostering a sense of calm and stillness.

Benefits of yin yoga

* Physical:
Increases flexibility and mobility, particularly in the hips and hamstrings.

* Mental:
Calms the mind and can alleviate stress, anxiety, and burnout.

* Emotional:
Promotes grounding and emotional balance.

* Energetic:
Can help to revitalize energy levels and promote deep rest and rejuvenation.
