Hydration Matters at Rotherwood!

Last week, our amazing team completed specialist hydration training with dietician Katherine – a big thank you to Katherine for sharing her expertise!

We’re proud to hold a Gold Standard Certificate for Hydration – one of only 7 care homes in Rotherham to achieve this level.

At Rotherwood, we go the extra mile to keep our residents happy and healthy, offering nutritious snacks and hydrating drinks every day.

🌳☕ A lovely day out at Clifton Park!

This week, some of our residents enjoyed a stroll around the park, a visit to the museum, and a coffee together before heading home for a delicious chicken lunch. 🐓🍴

It was an especially special trip for Terry, who shared fond memories of helping to raise funds for the Clifton Park memorial stand. 💙

Days like these are all about reminiscing, connecting with our community, and enjoying the little things in life.

🎉 We’ve had a lovely few weeks at Rotherwood Care Home!

We recently celebrated a very special 91st birthday with an afternoon party with loved ones 💐🎂

The sunshine has also brought plenty of smiles! We’ve been enjoying cuppas and cake in the garden and even popped to the club for a drink outside. Cheers to good weather and great company! ☀️🍰🍻

Last week, we made the most of the spring sunshine with a lovely walk to Clifton Park. Our residents enjoyed a peaceful stroll through the beautiful Clifton Park Gardens before heading into the museum for a wander around the exhibits. We rounded off the morning with a well-deserved coffee and slice of cake, before returning home to Rotherwood where a delicious chicken lunch was waiting for us.

Later in the week, some of our lovely ladies headed out for a shopping trip to the local supermarket. There were plenty of smiles as they enjoyed browsing the clothing section—and even treating themselves to something new! A stop at Greggs for a bite to eat and a good natter made the day extra special.

We've had an exciting festive season leading up to Christmas at Rotherwood. We've enjoyed Christmas crafts and a performance from the Rotherwood choir. We've had a visit from Santa and a very merry Christmas party with a buffet and live singer! Our residents and staff have been very busy over the last few weeks.

We celebrated Children in Need, and our residents enjoyed baking Pudsey shape biscuits. We also enjoyed celebrating a 91st Birthday!

And last week we were feeling festive at Rotherwood when staff and residents started decorating the home ready for the Christmas period.

Last Tuesday evening, our residents and staff enjoyed a trip to Rotherham Civic Theatre to watch ‘A Christmas Carol.’ This trip was arranged from feedback in our last residents meeting, and they thoroughly enjoyed this outing!

Last week residents and staff at Rotherwood enjoyed a disco and dance afternoon. We all enjoyed singing on the karaoke, drinking mocktails and dancing the afternoon away!
