A few weeks ago myself and Laura were invited to the launch of two new ZO Skin Health products — the Neck Complex and Complex A, their strongest retinol formulation.

It was already an exciting day… but then I was also asked to speak.

I was one of three invited to share how we use ZO in clinic, why our clients love it so much, and how we make sure they get the best results from their skin.

If you’d told me 9 years ago that one day I’d be standing up sharing my experience with other clinics, I honestly wouldn’t have believed you.

I had so many lovely messages afterwards from people who found it helpful. That meant the world.

Some people couldn’t imagine working with their mum…

We’ve been doing it for over 10 years now!

This little throwback was taken long before I knew I’d end up working alongside her every day. A rare moment between tantrums I believe 😂.

Back then she was just my mum. Now she’s the one I share the workday with too — chatting through ideas and putting the world to rights in between appointments.

I still get told off…but now it’s for not making her enough cups of tea.

Mum started the clinic 24 years ago, and when I joined 12 years ago as a ‘stop gap to have a little one’ I don’t think either of us imagined we’d still be working side by side all these years later.

Working with family definitely has its moments… but getting to share the workday with your mum isn’t something everyone gets to do, and I feel pretty lucky for that.

Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who started it all 💛
