Cars and Nature!

Can you beat that? Certainly not on lovely days! Ricky and Mel went to a car show and saw some lovely vintage cars and Pauline and Joe went on a nature walk. Alan Jackson, our Activities Lead even braved being bare foot on the grass!!!

Always an adventure to be had at Greenside Court, that's for sure!

Our Regional Ambassadors smashed it again at the Clinical Nurse Managers Forum yesterday!

Greenside's Adam B, Dave from Willowbeck - Exemplar Health Care and Alex from Maypole Grove - Exemplar Health Care presented again. They shared their stories of what it's like being cared for by us (good and bad!), how their lives have changed and how things have improved for them as they have a say in their own care (and rightly so).

They shared how our Service Users' voices are heard by everyone and how vitally important it is that they are. They report back to the Executive Team at bi-monthly meetings and speak for those who might not be able to. We can't express how absolutely awesome they are.

Sarah from Woolston House - Exemplar Health Care and Leanne from Quarryfields - Exemplar Health Care are in training to become Regional Ambassadors, having been Service User Ambassadors for a while and we just know they're going to be great!

They're so very lucky to have Sophia Feurtado-Jackson on their side too, as are we. She is integral in getting these things pulled together and is just wonderful.

Watch out world, the Ambassadors are taking over!

Our lovely Home Care Manager, Jayne, gets married on Saturday!!!

We wanted to celebrate with her so some devious minds got together and threw her a little surprise bash. Our Chef, Mark, made some fab treats, including a 3-tiered wedding cake!

They were yummy!!

Happy Wedding Day for Saturday, Jayne! We hope your day is as special to you as you are to us. 🥰

Pottery Painting!

Dave S, Joe and Julie had a lovely afternoon at Studio 62 in a Rotherham today and did some painting. Dave painted Evil Edna from Willow the Wisp, Julie was assisted painting an owl and Joe was assisted painting a mug!

We can't wait to get them back after they've been in the kiln!!

Two of our colleagues from Greenside Court have been selected as finalists in the Great British Care Awards! 🏆✨

Emma Streets - The Social Care Nurse Award
Dawn Mitchell - The Co-Production Award

This is to celebrate the hard work and dedication they show to our residents every day.

They're off to Leeds in November to a Gala Dinner where the overall winners will be announced!

Good luck to Emma and Dawn!!! 🤞

Our gorgeous Dave B enjoyed an afternoon out with family yesterday for some lovely food and to watch the Rotherham United match.

His brother, Glyn, kindly sent us these photos of Dave having a great time. They didn't win, but Dave and his family did by spending time together!

We were making idle hands busy today with our new Sensory Board and kettle tipper!

Joe, Dave S and Dave B all thoroughly enjoyed the new Sensory Board and Joe, Adam B and Dave S got busy making drinks for people using our new kettle tipper so they don't have to pick up a heavy kettle.

Safe to say we were not bored today (not that we ever are)!!!

What a lovely, wild day we have at Bennett Court - Exemplar Health Care!

Animals, music, fab food and company and lovely sunshine!!! Thank you so much for having us and for a wonderful day!!

Helping out at Greenside Court.

Joe has been helping out today and earning his keep! He helped out with the washing and drying. He emptied the washing into the dryer and putting some more on so we've all got clean clothes and bedding.

Pete loves his KFC, as does Adam B so today they made their own!

They got minced chicken and rolled out into balls, made their own KFC batter helped by Amy F, one of our Team Leaders and Dawn from Activities. Our Chef then cried it off for them and we're now ask full to the brim with delicious chicken.

Yum yum in our tum(s)!

Adam then helped with making a cup of tea for Rachel. They will be looking after us in no time!!!

Smashing Induction Training!

Our Adam B and Alex from Maypole Grove - Exemplar Health Care absolutely smashed it again at Induction training in Oldham for staff who are going to be working at one of Exemplar's new homes! We then ask went to visit the new home and it's fair to say it's blooming amazing!

Hearing from our SUs is really good for any new (and old for that matter) staff to know what it's like being in the receiving end of what we do and how it affects everyone.

Nice work, both of you and to our lovely Sophia Feurtado-Jackson who's always there to support us all.
