Today we rolled back the years to the 50s and 60s.

It was a day full of fun, music and dancing and we had such a great time

Donna came and sang some wonderful tunes, peeling away the years as she did. Clare Crowder, our fabulous chef, did us proud with hot dogs, fries and knicker bocker glories!!!

What a day!!!

Sunday Worship with Greenside Court.

Joe has been to Grace Church Sheffield this morning for worship and to see his wife and son there. Joe loves coming and says it's right good and fantastic to see his wife and son.

Today's service was centred around trying not to think about what's we don't have or cannot do in life but to feel grateful for what we have and can do. It was also around trying to focus on the good things so we don't miss things to be thankful for. It's a good message if you ask us.

Christmas doesn't just start in December. Not at Greenside Court anyway!!!

Tim got busy this morning with Lisa, one of our Domestics and Grace K, one of our HCAs and put his Christmas tree up in his room. It just needs some finishing touches now and it's good to go.

He did a grand job!!

Oh what a night!

Exemplar were flying the flag at the Great British Care Awards last night where everyone looked STUNNING!

Our Unit Manager, Emma Streets, was a Regional Finalist for the Social Care Nurse Award. She didn't win, but she's definitely a winner in our eyes!

Our Activities Coordinator, Dawn Mitchell, will be flying the flag again at the Finals in Birmingham next year, having won the Co-Production Award!

Congratulations to everyone who was nominated - you're all winners in our eyes!

Bonfire Night inside at Greenside Court this year!

We had a "real" bonfire, a guy and a firework display on the big screen so we could keep nice and warm. That wasn't hard though with pie and peas for tea with parkin to follow!

There was also a hot chocolate station set up by our lovely Kitchen Manager, Claire. ALL the trimmings were had and they were delicious!

We all hope you've had as lovely a night as we did!

Congratulations to Rachel Westbrook who has recently qualified as a Registered Nurse. Rachel previously undertook the Nurse Associate Programme and has since completed her degree and passed! Rachel is remaining at Greenside Court as a newly qualified nurse and we're lucky to have her. ☺️

Dave S presented her with flowers and her Certificate today.

Well done, Rachel!!!

What a Ghoulastic Day!

We've had a fancy dress competition. Our residents and staff had separate ones. Adam M came first with his scary reaper costume and Julie was second as Little Red Riding Hood. Rachel, one of our Nurses came first with her Cheerleader outfit and Caroline, our CNM came second with her home made spider costume!

The brain was delicious too!!! Our lovely chef, Clare, did a lovely creation.

We had wicked games and Halloween music too! We're shattered now from all the fun!!!! ☠️👻

We're not scared of Halloween!

Some others might be Halloween though when they see the tshirts that have been made today! Joe, Dave S and Adam B are showing their creations here!

Manchester United freebie!!

Adam was gifted some tickets to go to a Manchester United match with VIP treatment! He chose the Brighton and Hove match.

From walking down with all the fans, being pampered with VIP, watching the match from a great seat and seeing them win it was a fab day!!!

Spooky Music!!!

Musical Moments came to a Greenside and we had a spooktacular time with a Halloween themed set from the lovely April.

Everyone had some ghoulish fun and a rightful time! 👻🎵🕺

Football, football, football! Oh, and non-alcoholic cider 😁😁

Adam M went to see Rotherham United beat Leyton Orient 1-0 on Saturday and our Dave B went to watch the Chelsea v Nottingham Forrest match in the pub!

Time spent with friends and family is always good 🥰

World Values Day meets World Food Day.

We celebrated them both with crafts and pizza making. Yum yum in our tums!!!
