I’ll be guiding a gentle 45 minutes Pilates session perfect for anyone new to pilates, those returning after time away,or anyone just wanting a more slower pace.
The session will focus on improving posture, mobility, core strength and overall well-being.

I have been in the fitness industry for over 35 years.
I don’t just teach pilates .
I am deeply passionate about it.
After years of practice I’m living proof of the powerful long-term benefits, both mentally and physically.
Pilates isn’t just exercise it’s something that supports you throughout your whole life.
For me - Pilates plays a massive part of my lifestyle, plus I have my own business Pilates Is For Life , which reflects exactly how I feel about it.
Over the years Pilates Is For Life has also grown into a wonderful community.
Many of the people who come to my classes support and encourage one another creating a welcoming space where everyone can feel comfortable and enjoy the journey of feeling stronger and more confident together.

Pilates Is For Life

We are based at The Renaissance Centre , Bolton Upon Dearne
Thursday evenings 6.00-7.00pm
I do prefer individuals to book on with me first!

Our sessions are suitable for everyone.

We perform both standing & floor based exercises using our own body weight, plus various pieces of equipment such as resistance band/tube, light dumbbells( using equipment is optional).
Modifications & resting poses are included!!

Pilates requires Concentration/Focus/Patience, these are all key!!

Benefits of regular pilates include:

Increased overall muscle strength & tone, particularly abdominal muscles, lower back, hips & buttocks
(the ‘core muscles’of the body)

Improved flexibility/ posture

Improved physical coordination & balance

Decreased stress

Please note:
We practice barefoot, unless you prefer to wear non- slip socks.
You will also need to bring a non- stretchy slip mat, small towel/pillow, plus a drink bottle water too.

These sessions are aimed at giving anyone a better understanding about lateral breathing, engaging core muscles and alignment.

Monday 5th August 09.00-09.30
We will go over lateral breathing again, plus alignment technique for the Glute Bridge
Monday 12th August 09.00-09.30
Will include High plank, & the basic Boomerang technique.
Both these s sessions cost £3.00 each.
Please note:
My normal pilates session will still go ahead every Monday 09.30-10.30
same venue.
You will need a non-slip mat, small pillow/towel.
We do practice barefoot, or if you prefer to wear non- slip socks .
