Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a major cause of lung infections like bronchitis and pneumonia.

The RSV vaccine helps to prevent severe illness in those most vulnerable to RSV, helping to cut the risk of being admitted to hospital and protecting lives.

As of 1 April 2026, the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine is now available for free on the NHS to all:

• Adults who are aged 75 or over
• Adults who are living in a care home for older adults

We are sending out invitations but if you are eligible please feel free to call us to book in for your RSV vaccine ☎️📅

COVID CLINIC SATURDAY 18TH APRIL @ WICKERSLEY METHODIST CHURCH

We still have a few appointments remaining at the above clinic on Saturday. If you have received an invitation or believe you are eligible, please contact the practice to book a slot - this is strictly by appointment only.

Please note that car parking at the Church will be limited and priority will be given to patients unable to walk too far or in wheelchairs. Patients may park at the practice.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

The strike will not have an impact on services provided by Morthen Road Group Practice. Please still attend your hospital appointments as planned unless you are told otherwise.

In March 1% of patients did not attend their booked appointments.

📅That's 86 appointments wasted.

We know people forget things, cancelling GP appointments being one of them.

❌ Please remember to cancel your appointment if you don’t need it and give us as much notice as possible so that it can be offered to someone else.

Please note the surgery will be closed from 12pm on Thursday 9th April for staff training and development. We will re open at 8am on Friday 10th April.
