Yorkshire Water Workshop

Struggling to pay your water bill?

Yorkshire Water have kindly agreed to host another workshop to raise awareness around the mechanism for financial relief and eligibility that can be offered to people struggling to pay their bills. The workshop will be taking place between 1 pm and 2 pm on Tuesday 3rd October 2023

Did you know that Yorkshire Water has responded to the cost-of-living increase, with an additional £15million from the company's shareholders available for support with bills through to 2025.

local Minor Eye Conditons Service.

Its so easy to be seen and the service is fantastic. Take a look at the website

The MECS service can treat conditions including red eye/eyelids, dry/uncomfortable eyes, foreign bodies, discharge, ingrowing lashes and more

PATIENT NOTICE

After listening to your feedback, we have made some changes that we hope will improve your experience.

Next week the way you book an appointment is changing.
Between 8am and 10am. We will be dealing with urgent ‘On The Day’ problems.

A few examples of what would be relevant for an ‘On The Day’ appointment are:
• Unwell children
• Fevers
• New pain and over the counter medication is not working
• New Rash

At 10am, appointments for us to deal with ‘Ongoing Problems’.
A few examples ongoing problems are:
• An ongoing situation has been happening for quite a long time and seems likely to continue for some time in the future.
• Any appointment with a Nurses/ Health Care Assistant.

From 11am onwards we will be able to help you with any ongoing sicknotes or check the status of blood results/ other test results.

We have made these changes to prevent the need for everyone to call at 8am. By spreading out the times, it should make accessing us easier.

These apply whether you book over the phone, online, or in person.

We want to thank the 1,454 patients who turned up for their appointments last week out of the 1,507 who were booked in.

53 more people could have been seen by us if unwanted appointments were cancelled in advance, which is easier to do than ever.

If you have a smart phone (and if we have your up-to-date number) you can cancel upcoming appointments using the link on your appointment reminder.

We take not attending seriously. We removed 8 people from our practice list last month for failing to attend more than 4 booked appointments in the past 12 months, and after been sent 4 separate letters advising them of our ‘Did Not Attend’ policy.

If you no longer need an appointment, be kind and cancel.
