After losing a life-changing 11st 7lbs (73kg), Ray, a primary school teacher from Wellingborough, has been crowned one of our Slimming World Icons for 2026 🤩!

After being called ‘Big Ray’ through school, getting breathless on the stairs and avoiding the staff room at work, Ray is now running 10ks, playing football with his pupils and stepping into his 40s with a confidence he’d never dreamt of 👏.

He’s rewritten his entire story thanks to Slimming World – and what an incredible achievement it is! Join us in celebrating his success ✨.

Fresh faces. Fresh starts. Fresh hope for 2026.

Over the last few weeks, new people have walked through my Slimming World doors carrying all sorts of things with them.
Nerves. Doubt. Quiet hope. A “this is my last try” feeling.

And every single time, I am reminded why I do this.

Because joining a group is not really about weight loss.
It is about choosing yourself when it would be easier not to.
It is about showing up even when confidence is low.
It is about saying “I am worth another go.”

Watching new members settle in, laugh, open up, and realise they are not alone honestly never gets old.
No judgement. No pressure. Just real people, real lives, and real support.

If 2026 feels like the year you want things to be different, not perfect, just better, there is a seat waiting for you.
You do not need to be ready.
You just need to turn up.

There’s 5st 5lb (34kg) between these two photos, and for Úna (its_never_too_late_to_restart on Instagram), the biggest change has been her confidence 🥰 – saying yes to more, stepping out from behind the camera and enjoying life ❤️.
