Funeral service will be held in D. McKellar's Parlour on Monday 8th September 2025 at 12 noon and thereafter at Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium at 2pm. Family and friends are warmly invited to Rothesay Golf Club afterwards.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to Bute Animal Rescue and Rehoming or an animal welfare or dementia charity of your choice.

Although not a Brandane, the Isle of Bute and its people were deeply ingrained in Alistair’s life and he loved nothing more than coming to spend time on the island.

Our thoughts are extended to his family at this sad time.

Peacefully at Glen O’Dee Hospital on Saturday, August 16, 2025, Alistair (Alexander) Thomson, aged 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Christeen Thomson, dearly loved father of David and Graeme, brother of Barry and Dorothy, much loved grandfather, brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle and partner to June. Funeral service in Aberdeen Crematorium, Hazlehead (West Chapel) on Friday, September 5 at 1.30pm to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, may be given at the service for Friends of Glen O’Dee and Forget Me Not, Banchory.
