Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on 29th August 2025, surrounded by her family. Beloved mother of Debbie, Emma, Alice and Suzanne and a very proud granny and great granny.

Funeral service will be held in D. McKellar's Parlour on Monday 8th September 2025 at 12 noon and thereafter at Clyde Coast and Garnock Valley Crematorium at 2pm. Family and friends are warmly invited to Rothesay Golf Club afterwards.

Peacefully at home on 23rd August 2025. Eva, a much-loved wife of Danny, loving mum of Heather and Hazel and a grandma and great grandma.

It is with great sadness to share the intimation notice of a dear friend, Alistair Thomson.

Although not a Brandane, the Isle of Bute and its people were deeply ingrained in Alistair’s life and he loved nothing more than coming to spend time on the island.

Our thoughts are extended to his family at this sad time.

Peacefully at Glen O’Dee Hospital on Saturday, August 16, 2025, Alistair (Alexander) Thomson, aged 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Christeen Thomson, dearly loved father of David and Graeme, brother of Barry and Dorothy, much loved grandfather, brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle and partner to June. Funeral service in Aberdeen Crematorium, Hazlehead (West Chapel) on Friday, September 5 at 1.30pm to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, may be given at the service for Friends of Glen O’Dee and Forget Me Not, Banchory. Suddenly on 12th July 2025. Graeme Knight, an adored and loving husband of Yvonne, a dearly loved dad of Harry and Charlie, beloved son of Shirley and the late Basil Knight. A dear brother of Sarah and a much-loved brother-in-law and a dear friend of many people.

Funeral service will be held at Clyde Coast & Garnock Valley Crematorium, Largs on Tuesday 5th August at 12 noon.

The family wish to thank everyone for their support, and expressions of sympathy received.

Jean O’Reilly

On 14th July 2025 with her daughter Patrica by her side at Craobh Haven, Lochgilphead. Jean, a loving wife of the late Thomas O’Rielly (Tam) and a dearly loved mum of Patricia and the late Tommy O’Reilly, a loving gran of Monica, Olivia, Aaron and Frances.

Funeral service will be held at D McKellar’s Funeral Parlour on Tuesday 29th July at 11am, thereafter an interment service will be held at Kilmun Cemetery, Dunoon at 1pm.

Furthermore, all are welcome to attend the Argyll Hotel, Dunoon, for tea and sandwiches, and share fond memories of Jean.

A celebration of life service will be held at Kingarth Hotel on Friday 18th July at 12 noon, interment thereafter at Kingarth Cemetery.
