🎉𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗘! 𝟭𝟬 𝗙𝗔𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦 𝗔𝗦 𝗔 𝗦𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗟𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧!🎉

10 Years ago today Maddie ran her 1st ever Slimming World Group! What a 10 years that has been! She started with just 1 group in Burntwood, moving her groups over to Blackheath/Oldbury 6 years ago after having her 2 children and wanting to be closer to home. She now runs 5 sessions over 4 groups!

You can catch Maddie running any of the following groups

Tuesdays 9.30am and 6pm

Kings Community Church and Buttons Community Cafehave been working hard during the pandemic to support members of their community. They are holding a raffle to raise more money to support the community with lots of prizes on offer.

During COVID-19 King’s Community Church has helped in many and varied ways, from food parcels, children craft activities, new kitchen appliances to gardening and home maintenance. The carefund has enabled us to do this but is now low on funds. Please partner with us to continue helping across our local community. All you need to do is text the word LIGHT to 70331 to enter. Each txt cost £3 to enter (plus your normal standard txt rate) and you can enter more than once.... we have some amazing prizes all donated by local independent businesses please have a look at their pages as they have been very generous. So...I'm talking now to all the lapsed SW members who I know will see this as we're still facebook friends and those members who were with me not so long ago but who, when we closed groups, made the decision to wait until things got back to normal before continuing their weight loss journey.

I get it. I really do. I totally understand why, at the start of lockdown, you chose to "have a break". It was all too much...everything had turned upside down...there were so many other things to cope with. It was all so confusing!

Believe me I really do know...because my world was tipped on it's head too and I have to admit...food optimising and my weight was not at the forefront of mind but I ve found its given me something I can control 😁

But now...5 or 6 weeks later...it might be that things have settled a little, that you've had time to rethink things a bit. It might be that you're feeling a little more able to focus again. And that you're feeling more ready to get back on track.

Because the trouble is we simply don't know when we will get back to normal. This isn't just a couple of weeks "holiday". It's not like Christmas...where we can "lose the plot" for a few days and then come back to group and sort it out. This isn't an "off plan" weekend....

This is bigger than that! Much, much bigger! This could go on for months! So how long are we really prepared to wait before we decide to start moving again?

That's why I'm becoming increasingly worried about those of you who have put your Slimming World journey "on hold".

There's absolutely no judgement here...as I said...I get it...and if you're not ready then I completely understand...but I just wanted to let you know that it's ok to change your mind, it's ok to come back at any time and take advantage of all or whichever parts of the package you want to.. the website, the app, the Zoom Rooms, the online shop, the members only facebook group, my support, your fellow members support. It's a complete package that will help you restart your journey...as soon as you're ready!

And besides....I miss you ❤
