F.P Gaunt & Sons Ltd and Gaunts Florist - Blackheath Flowers have pledged £1,000 towards purchasing a new defibrillator for our local community. 🎩💐❤️

A2C Cars are holding an event on Saturday 6th June from 12pm onwards. 🗓️⏱️

Why not pop along for a bit of family fun? There will be emergency vehicles to look around 🚒🚑demonstrations 🩺 and independent stalls to have a mooch around 🛍️. All whilst raising funds for a great piece of equipment that could help save a life right here in our home town 🥰🏡

We donated a defib from Gaunts of Wollaston Funeral Directors in 2022 and within 2 weeks of installation it was needed and used successfully! 🙏

Just goes to show how important this bit of kit can be. ❤️

At A2C Cars we are proud to be part of the Blackheath community.

We’re currently raising funds to provide a new defibrillator for our local area. This is something that’s incredibly important to us because having access to a defibrillator can quite literally mean the difference between life and death in an emergency. Cardiac arrests can happen to anyone, at any time, and every second counts.

As a community, we want to make sure that we’re prepared to help save a life if the worst happens. Having a publicly accessible defibrillator in Blackheath would give residents, visitors, and local businesses the reassurance that help is close by when it’s needed most.

We will be holding a community event day on 6th June 12pm onwards to raise funds however anyone wishing to donate directly can do this on https://gofund.me/6f0b929b4 . The funds raised will go directly towards purchasing and installing the defibrillator, as well as ensuring it’s properly maintained and accessible. This is an investment in the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community.

Any support you can give — whether it’s donating or sharing this fundraiser — would mean a great deal to us. Together, we can make Blackheath a safer place for everyone.

Congratulations to the teachers of Ormiston Forge Academy on winning the trophy again this year after a penalty shootout, following a 1–1 draw against the Sixth Form students. Huge credit to both teams for a fantastic match and great effort on the pitch 🏆⚽️

We were proud to sponsor this event once again, returning to the school Sam Gaunt attended and catching up with some familiar faces.

The match and trophy were dedicated in loving memory of Mr Phil Corbett, a much-loved Geography teacher who sadly passed away far too soon.

What an incredible day! 🤩

Our Company Directors, Sam and Jake had the opportunity to spend time with our amazing coffin suppliers, JC Atkinson. Managing Director Greg Cranfield and Sales Manager Simon Heath.

We were truly blown away by the sheer scale of their operation and very grateful to be given a tour across all three of their facilities in Newcastle.

From seeing the craftsmanship of the coffin-making process up close to meeting the dedicated people behind it all, it was a fascinating and humbling experience. The care, skill, and attention that goes into every single coffin is something really special. ⚰️🔨

A big thank you to the whole team for such a warm welcome. We’ve come away inspired and even more appreciative of the work that goes on behind the scenes. 🙏

We were delighted to attend the SAIF independent funeral directors Annual General Meeting, where Sam, Jake and Jack were presented with their certificates for completing Module 1 of the Diploma in Funeral Directing 👏

A fantastic achievement and a reflection of their dedication to learning and developing within their roles.

We were also very grateful to hear such kind words from their tutor David at the Independent Funeral Directors College:

Today at our newest Funeral Home in Tenbury Wells, Graham and his team had the privilege of caring for the funeral of a much loved gentleman.

In a truly special and personal choice, the family chose our traditional wheel bier instead of a motorised hearse — a beautiful tribute to tradition and heritage.

Even more remarkable, this wheel bier was handcrafted in 1934 by Graham’s grandfather, Albert Henry Caldicott, the founder of A.H. Caldicotts. A genuine piece of history still serving families with dignity today.

Moments like this remind us how meaningful it is to honour both loved ones and the traditions that carry their stories forward. It also makes us very proud to be a family owned company.
