🌞 Get Your Feet Summer-Ready! 🌿
As the weather warms up and sandals come out, it’s time to give your feet the attention they deserve!
As a Foot Health Practitioner, I often see common summer foot complaints that can be prevented with a little TLC. Here are my top tips to keep your feet healthy, comfortable, and looking their best this season:
👣 Exfoliate & Moisturize
Dry, cracked heels are common after months in winter socks and boots. Use a gentle foot scrub weekly and follow with a rich, urea-based foot cream to restore hydration.
👣 Trim & Shape Nails Properly
Cut toenails straight across to prevent ingrown nails. Avoid cutting too short and never dig into the corners.
👣 Keep Fungal Infections at Bay
Warm, damp environments can lead to athlete’s foot and fungal nails. Dry between toes thoroughly, change socks daily, and wear breathable footwear.
👣 Sun Protection Matters
Don’t forget SPF on your feet! They’re often exposed in sandals and flip-flops, making them vulnerable to sunburn.
👣 Check Your Feet Regularly
Look for signs of corns, calluses, or changes in nail color or shape. Early detection is key for foot health.
