Don't start a diet today.
Or tomorrow.
Or any time this week.

It's great to set goals but the first week back in January is the worst time of the entire year to begin an extreme health kick or faddy diet.

Why? Because it's when we're most out of routine and the furthest from where we want to be. We have probably been eating and drinking more, maybe excessively, going to bed and waking later, exercising less and eating at different times.

Are you ready for an enjoyable new approach to your diet & health that doesn’t involve dieting?

Here are 3 things to do first to help you achieve long term improvements to your health and well-being this year.

1) Get hydrated. Being even mildly dehydrated can lower your energy, cause cravings, overeating, brain fog and affect the quality of your sleep. So this easy, free first step is the most important place to start.
2) Sleep. It's totally underrated. Lack of sleep or poor quality sleep affects our energy, mood, appetite, hormones and inflammatory response. So if you're tired or in a bad routine of late nights and not enough quality rest, this is definitely a priority for this week.
If you're hydrated and sleeping well, food choices automatically become easier. 3) Then you want to get back into a good routine of when you're eating.
* Eat at regular times
* Avoiding eating late into the evening.
* Don't skip meals.

For my full step by step plan of a healthy, balanced way to get back on track this new year- without faddy dieting - join me for Nourish and Nurture. A 4 week online programme where you will learn how to beat cravings, balance hormones and boost your energy naturally through diet & lifestyle change.

Did you know that just 1 night of poor sleep has the following effects:

* Elevates the hormone that makes you hungry,
* Suppresses the hormone that tells you you’re full
* Raises the stress hormone cortisol?

Cortisol also drives cravings, particularly for carbs and sugar, plus increases the likelihood of overeating.

So if you want to enjoy the festive foods without sabotaging your health goals, aim to get enough sleep. Without making any changes to your diet, this one tip will help you to avoid cravings and overeating.

It will also help to regulate your hormones, reduce stress and support healthy metabolism.

Lost your mojo? Tired of feeling tired?

If your body feels sluggish and your brain is foggy, join me next week for Nourish & Nurture. It’s my 4 week programme designed for busy women in mid-life who want to boost their energy, metabolism or mood.

In mid-life, women's bodies change and so does how we process our food. What we once ate and drank is no longer what our bodies need, to see results we have to change our diet.

Nourish & Nurture is NOT a diet plan. It’s all about nourishment, not deprivation, so you can enjoy your food and feel good.

You’ll learn 3 key dietary principles:
1) WHAT to eat - choose the right types of proteins, fats & carbs.
2) HOW MUCH to eat - get the right ratio of protein, fats & carbs.
3) WHEN to eat - this is a game changer! Timing of when you eat can help or hinder your metabolism.

Plus how to manage stress, improve sleep and make the mindset changes that will help you to create healthy habits that last.

Ready to get your health & well-being back?

So much delicious food at the autumnal supper club created by with produce from held at

I love a foodie adventure and enjoy supporting anyone who is growing, sourcing or using great organic, seasonal produce. It's better for us and the planet!

It was a fully plant based menu with each course showcasing a nut or vegetable - chestnuts, celeriac, beetroot, sprouts and pumpkin - with brilliantly creative and tasty results.

Such a lovely, warm welcome too!
A delicious and nutritious night out 😊

Wow! My first meal was so delicious. An incredible vegetarian thali featuring coconut beetroot thoran, lentil dhal, black chickpea curry, vegetable korma, dosa, rice and more!

Followed by carrot halwa with cardamom and ada pradahaman; a spiced rice pudding.

This is feel good food 🤗

Highly recommended, can't wait to go again!

I.B.S. Many people suffer with gas, bloating, food intolerances, constipation or diarrhoea yet don't know they have I.B.S. - irritable bowel syndrome. Some suspect they have I.B.S. but aren't sure and others are formally diagnosed and don't know how to manage it.

The good news is that whether you have a formal diagnosis or just experience some of these digestive issues for no known reason, there are solutions. Many people don't realise that these issues can be soothed and often fully resolved with the right diet & lifestyle advice.

Thank you to Laura for sharing her story of how she went from having debilitating & frightening symptoms to bouncing back to her old self - now feeling healthier than ever!

Do you think you might have a food intolerance?
Does bread make you bloated or milk give you a tummy upset?
Or do certain vegetables make you windy or give you cramps?

Some people know the foods that are causing them an issue. Others find it's so random; different foods cause problems on different days. Some times they're fine, other days they're not.

So what's going on? Let's get to the bottom of food intolerances...

The symptoms from a food intolerance can be immediate but may develop up to 48 hours after eating the food. Food intolerances are rarely life threatening but can really make life miserable. Stomach cramps, diarrhoea, bloating and gas are all common reactions but symptoms may not be digestive. Skin reactions (eczema, acne), fatigue, a 'drippy' nose, sneezes or congestion are also common food reactions.

Food intolerances can be a sign of poor gut health but the good news is that you can do something about them.

To understand what's going on in your gut and what you can do to resolve digestive issues such as food intolerances, bloating, gas, stomach cramps or diarrhoea, register below to join me LIVE at 7pm Tuesday 4th June.

If you can't make the live session don't worry, still sign up as all registrants receive access to the recording.
